Look what I got for part of my birthday present!

So since last weekend was my birthday, I had a a bunch of friends over and i got a lot of money for my brithday, so I went and got my belly button pierced. I've wanted it since grade 7, and now that I'm old enough to get it without consent, I went and got it done. My mom did come with me though, because I didn't want to go by myself lol. Heres a pic, I wanted to get a purple studded one, but since I got it done professionaly, they only had silver rings. I'm really excited about it, I've wanted it done since forever ! lol :D

Hehe, cool! I could never get my belly button pierced, for one, I would rip it out with all my shirts and I just KNOW I would get it caught on my saddle going over a jump (that would be my luck, lol!)

I don't have the stomach for it...literally, I would be barfing while they tried to do it. I'm needle phobic in the worst way...

HeHe ! I got mine last year. NO regrets. It will be touchy for awhile but hang in there it does get better pretty fast. There are tons of cute belly button rings to.

It didn't hurt at all. It was a little uncomfortable when he clamped it, but I didn't even feel the needle going through. He was like take a deep breath, and after I did, I asked when he was going to do it, and he had already done it, so it was all good. I was really nervous at first, but in the end it was no big deal.

LOL I got mine done when I was 16 in some Venice Beach back alley piercing tattoo place by a Thai lady named Mamasun. :innocent: Not one of my best decisions, I'm lucky I didn't get hepatitis or something. It can get infected very easily in the first 6 months so be sure to keep it REALLY clean! Congrats, it's cute!

Awesome! It looks super cool. I really want to get mine done, but I've heard so many horror stories with belly button rings and horses. I'm kind of scared I'd end up losing a chunk of my belly. :/ I'm thinking about getting my tongue done instead....

I got mine done two weeks before I graduated high school. I am now a sophomore in college and have never really caught it in the saddle or anything. It does hurt for a while, just make sure to clean it well and you should have no problems. I remember my fiance put his hand around me and hit my belly button like a couple hours after I had it done. That hurt. Just be careful for a week and it should be ok! I'm glad your happy with it!

Also make sure it does not fall out! I had mine fall out after about probably a year and was at my fiance's house. I went home an hour or two later and it hurt to put it back in, but I was bound and determined to do it. If I ever had trouble, just put some vasaline or an antibiotic ointment on it and it should be ok. I also had a ring when they pierced it, so your lucky you have a bar. I also have learned, my skin didn't do to well with the bioplast bars. there like a plastic or something. I could hardly get it out. I have to wear a metal one. Sorry so much info and so long:D

Ooh la la! Glad you finally got what you wanted!

And glad it didn't hurt! I pierced mine myself in high school with a safety pin. (ya, I was that cool..)

And then it grew out.

So I did it again! :crazy:

And it stayed in until I took it out when I was pregnant. And never put it back in.

Yeah, I'm really happy with it. I too have heard of some not so lovely stories about them associated with riding, but I wanted this so bad and I'm determined to make it work, so hopefully everything works out lol.
I went out to the barn tonight, and the only time that it actualy hurt was when I accidentaly hit my stomach with a fork while cleaning up the indoor. So it wasn't that bad.

I have one too. When I got it I was working with standardbreds at a fairgrounds. The worst part was wrapping legs and having to bend over during the week following getting it done. Other than that and one unfortunate incident with a gator's dump bed I haven't had any problems. Keep it clean and once it's all healed up you can take it out (or at least I can), but just be sure to leave it in if it's irritated otherwise it'll try to heal shut.

Its not really that hard for me to bend over and stuff, the only time it bothers me is when I pick out Chrissys feet, and thats because she kicks a bit with her back feets and I have to move quickly. Other than that, it doens't bug me. Hopefully I'll be able to take it out for shows and stuff like that, but yes, if its irritated, I'll know to keep it in, thanks !

Once it's all healed you really won't notice it at all. As long as you don't have a giant dangly pointy anoying thing in there you shouldn't have any problem riding in it. And so far as I've heard my case is abnormal but if it's not irritated I can leave it out for months on end before remembering to put anything back in. I mostly forget because I've lost so many of those little screw balls that I only have one that works right now (and it's pointy).

Yeah, well I don't plan on getting big dangling ones because knowing my luck, it'll end up getting caught on my shirt and get ripped out. So I'm just going to stick to the regular ones.

cool! I just got my second holes done last week.. so now I have 5 in my ears.. mom says if I do anymore ill be out of the house... so I think anymore will have to wait.

Cool! I kind of want to have my done, but I don't know. Like everyone else said, I've heard bad things. But I still think it would be so cool. Got my first tattoo at the age of 18, my mom thought it was fake when I showed her. LOL. She didn't think I had the "guts" to get one. Now... almost ten years later I got a total of 4 and my nose peirced. CRazy kid I was. My Mom ~ now as 3 tattoos, getting her first one when she was 56 years old.

My suggestion if you get a tattoo, get it somewhere where it could be easily hidden if you want it hidden. ;)
