Getting a tattoo

I am getting another tattoo on my ankle and I wanted it to be of something I loved . So her is my tattoo. It is a picture of Dolly. I will have it colored.

Very nice but i think i would put it on my shoulder not ankle?

I like it. But having it on your ankle means it will be pretty small and that would take away from the detail. I agree with miata. I have one on my shoulder and I love it.

I want it where I can see it. And if it is on my shoulder then I cant see it. I know it will take away from it. My friend drew it and did a wonderful job. more that what I asked for. I wanted a horse with a rose in its mouth and she did this. But it is very pretty.

then maybe on your calf then. it will distort .. being too small on the ankle do it on the side of the calf.

That's gorgeous, I love tattoos like that. You could move it up just a bit from the ankle on a fleshier area for a bit more space for detail if you wanted. I just got one on the inside of my ankle and quite like it there.

yea it is very pretty. I wish it had color in it. She might. She does beautiful work.

It's a beautiful design but if I saw them coming at me with needles in order to do it I'd probably drop dead. I think calf is good too.

I heard a tattoo on the foot is real painful. At least the calf has some fat.:)

As for the color of the roses, I would go with what color do you like most? Yellow, peach, Red are great colors.

As for your friends talented sketching, I'm not ready for that on yet but I'm planning on getting a couple easy horse shoes with some roses on it. Still working on it and where I want to plant it LOL. Iam thinking of my calf:)

Well, that would work. Yellow roses mean friendship and Dolly is your buddy. Pink symbolizes happiness. That makes for a pretty good mixed meaning. :) You're happy she's your best bud. :p Also, I think it'd be nice for the roses to be different from you're other rose tattoo.

I think Horseaholic can testify. :p The foot/ankle is painful. I agree that the calf might give you better detail. :) I know you have other tattoos (I think!) but finding an artist that specializes in what you want is your greatest bet.

I found someone who did shading and black/white better than anything else. Other people are better with colour detailing.
