Does anyone remember that "evaluation" that went around years ago. About how the Superman employee leaps tall buildings in a single bound, etc
I'd like to write something like that for Barn help. What are qualities you think a good barn person needs.
Here are some to get us started:
1) A good sense of smell is a requirement for this job. Employees must be able to smell pee spots.
2) Organizational skills. Employee routinely puts shovel back on wall 98% of the time. Must be able to anticipate weather changes and bring appropriate attire to work, including multiple pairs of socks.
3) Must have toes of steel. Must be able to anticipate when horse is aiming for foot, and avoid being stepped on 75% of the time.
4) Must be able to remember complicated feed regimens.
5) Must be diplomatic...
6) Must be able to empty wheelbarrows in 2 shakes or less.
7) Must demonstrate ability to blow nose into the wind and wipe nose on sleeve, or be organizaed enough to bring hanky.
This isn't as funny as I thought it might be, but perhaps this will give you some ideas...:popcorn:
