I'm getting very excited about the WEG - I live only 45 mins from Lexington and the KHP so I will be going to one event and also going out to shop and watch clinics some other days. The events are expensive, so I wanted to attend something that (a) I wouldn't normally go to or be able to go to and (b) that wouldn't bore Hubby ;) I chose Freestyle Reining. I go to the Rolex 3 day event every year so Dressage, Show Jumping, and CC are old news to us. I thought vaulting would be cool too, and so would the cross country driving, but hey, I could only choose one! I'm really psyched about it, this is something so huge! I know the TV coverage will be great around here too because I'm so close, they televise all kinds of horse stuff around here!
So - who's going? What are you going to see?
Here's the info (http://www.alltechfeigames.com/content.aspx?id=2728&ekmensel=c580fa7b_8_16_2728_2) for those who are curious:

I really wanted to go and watch the show jumping but halted my plans last year when I was laid off from work for a couple of months. I never did renew my plans and I'm scared to even look at hotel availability and rates at this point, lol!

It says that NBC is covering it for 6 1/2 hours. Don't know when exactly that'll be, but maybe they'll advertise as it gets closer?

That would be fun! You really are lucky to live so close to the park.

I can't wait! I am going to be working there. I obviously want to see the XC and SJ but I would love to see the vaulting. I don't even think most people around here realize what a huge deal this is to have them here!! Right in our backyard almost, ahhhhhh!!!!

Lucky! :) I really, really want to go, but it's not even an option for me. Maybe if it hadn't been during the school year... I'm hoping there will be some way to watch it online. It doesn't look like we'll have TV again by then.
