Sounds like he's the last known survivor of a tribe and British officials have declared a 31 mile area around him as a no trespassing zone to keep him safe. Real interesting read.

It's a fascinating read on so many levels. I'm really impressed with the governments stance. I hope it continues.

I would expect he is very lonely. But maybe that is just me putting my feelings onto him. Part of me wishes we could learn more.... then the other half of me recognizes to do that he would be exposed.

Very interesting story. Poor guy. I'm glad they are trying to protect him, though.

I'd give a lot just to be in his head for a few minutes. Maybe that's just the writer in me but...I want to know what goes on in there. Amazing read. :)

I'm glad and surprised he's getting to live out his days as he wants. If he wanted things to be different, seems like he could walk out. I'm sure he has seen other people.

Although Im not a writer, I was thinking the same thing. Id like to know what is going on inside his mind.

I say leave the guy alone. He knows about other people & has chosen to live alone. Look at how many so called modern men get overwhelmed & act out in ways hurtful to others who did nothing personal to them.
There are worse things than living alone, besides, maybe he has critter friends.

I think after he killed one of the agents trying to make contact they got the picture that the guy didn't want to try and communicate with them.

I think it's great they are finally taking the stand they should have taken hundreds of years ago with so many cultures. Leave him alone to do his own thing and worship his own Gods.

That's crazy.

The government agents know this, which is why they view the protection of the lone tribesman as a question human rights, not economics.

Yay for the government putting a single human's rights over the money they could get from developing the land :)

amazing...what an incredible story. I wonder if he's even lonely...don't you think if he were he'd try to make contact? or is he just too afraid?

Very cool story. I would love to join him for a day or two. I think it'd be fun to try living that way for a little while.

I always say this kinda stuff and my boyfriend always laughs and says are you kidding me? You can't even handle a mosquito bite! :p
