Just thought I'd update ya guys... I wanted to beforehand, but seriously so much has been on my plate I just havent gotten to it. Everythings starting to steady now so I can post pictures, mail what needs to be mailed out, and finally be able to start having nice, relaxing trail rides.

August 1st was the Potter County Fair. My friend and I went.. Me with my 23 year old Appaloosa gelding Bear and my friend with her 25 year old Quarter Horse gelding Peppy. I was supposed to also be bringing Prodigy but that fell through because the fair schedule was completely screwed until the last few days beforehand.

Anyway, it was my first time not only competing at fair, but actually doing the stuff that we did. I have only practiced barrels with Bear three times before the fair. I have never actually competed in any of these games, nor practiced for anything but barrels! The one game we did best in I didnt even know what it was until it was time to do it! I love Bear!

Thursday Open Show-
Halter - Didnt Place
Western Pleasure - Didnt place
Command Class - 5th/13
Trail - 3rd/18
Pole Bending - No time
Cloverleaf Barrels - 4th/18
Straight Barrels - 2nd/16
Raised Box Keyhole - 4th/16
Lime Keyhole - No place, Bear put a foot JUST on the line!

Friday Old Timers Show-
I cant remember what I placed in, its all downstairs, but I just remember I got third overall points.. :)

Was that My before Bear bolded for a reason? If it was I caught it (can't get anything passed me:p ;)). Details please! Wasn't he Dan's horse? Or something like that..?

The fair looked like a lot of fun, I so wish I could have went with you! I'm bummed that we never got together this summer.:( Maybe next year.
How'd Prod do on the group trail ride?:)

Bear is my horse.. It was litke merry-go-horses around here for a little bit! Bear was Dan's. I bought Hands for my ex, and my ex couldn't handle Hands. so Dan traded Bear for Hands. When we broke up, Bear became mine.. and boy so I love him! Lizzy, we will have to get together next Summer. Maybe you could go on one of these wonderful group trail rides we've began hosting. :) Prodigy did great.. We got lost, and he was very tired by the end of it. But overall, he did wonderful.

I would love to go on one of your group trail rides.:) I love those! Don't know how I'd get Kota there though!
Donna and I are hauling the horses to Hilliards, PA on September 11th or 12th for an overnight group ride, and then to Two Mile State Park on the 25th.:) I can't wait!:D
If you come here I have some great trails we could ride on too. I could take you to the waterfall, I love that place. There's other cool trails and dirt roads too. Lots of them. You could bring one of your horsies, or if Beauty is doing okay we could just ride my two. I might even have another horse next year. We'll see.

Great pictures, glad you finally found your barrel horse. I've always loved Bear, he is just such a cute.
