You know the cord connector thingy you plug into the camera and then into the computer so you can import all your pictures/videos? Well mine apparently is broken- it won't plug into the camera all the way and therefor I can't get it to connect with the memory card so I can't get my pics/vids on the computer! That's a tragedy! ....well, perhaps not a tragedy, but I'm pretty lost without being able to upload my pics/vids!:(

So... what is that part called? I went to the sony website (that's the kind of camera I have) to see if I could replace it, but I don't know what it's called. I typed in my camera's model number, and some parts/ascesories for it came up. I found one thing that might be it, but there is no picture--and I don't know what it's called-- so I'm not sure. I thought *maybe* this was it, but I'm pretty clueless. http://servicesales.sel.sony.com/ecom/accessories/web/viewItemDetail.do?operation=getItemDetail&itemID=639555&category=8&categoryName=Cable&searchOperation=modelSearch&searchText=dscs650

I've been wanting a new camera because mine is a 'still' camera, so action pics don't come out very well at all and the quality of the pictures isn't the best. I was thinking about trying to get one on sale on Black Friday.. now I may be buying one sooner then I thought!

Either that or you can buy a card reader for your type of memory card. I have a universal card reader like this one: Amazon.com: Kingston 19-in-1 Media Reader $13

No, I think you had it right the first time. The official name of the part you are looking for is a "camera thingy".:hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

Can't you just take the memory card out and put it directly into your computer? I think I can do that with mine. Yep just checked and I can. Other than that you can basically pick those up at most any store with electronics. Just make sure you get one that works with your camera.

I think she said previously that the card doesn't come out of he camera. It's internal, like a hard drive.
