Went out to feed lastnight. I checked on Driftens bump just to see if it was still all nasty looking and it is gone! :happydance:  :cowboy:... I didn't take him to the fair and now I know why! He has a small spot about the size of a dime that needs to heal up but it is totally gone. I will get pictures if you would like. I was amazed that the Xterra actually worked!

Oh and update on Strikes's hooves they just turned out to be diet change rings! :) No laminitis for my boy! He was fenominal at fair while gaming and showing. He was great running the grand entry for the rodeo too. He was very tired and happy to load up by the end of the week though :) :)

Thanks for reading, I know it was a pointless thread I am just sooo happy! :innocent::p Driften and I will be heading out to go on a trail ride shortly. I can ride him now because he is not in pain from the tratment of his lump :D

Great news! That x-terra or Indian Mud is phenomenal, isn't it?

I believe Monte has one of them. How did you get rid of it? and I know nothing about them. Are then bad for the horses. I suppose I could research.

Natisha- Thanks, lol I thought it would be pointless but you made me feel like it wasn't :)

GrungeEquine-Thanks me too :)

Buckpoco- It really is! I didnt think it was working and thought I would need it removed by the vet. The skin just sloughed off and it was super crusty. The vet told me before I used it thought that it would either work or not. I was thinkin he was crazy cus it "kinda" worked or so I thought. I came back from the fair and val-la it had fallen off lol.

famers wife- I used a pastey ointment perscribed by the vet called X-terra. He was also on bute during treatment because he was so ouchy from the ointment working. I also couldnt ride him for 2 months. They arn't necessarily(sp) bad for horses but Driftens was on his sheath and was growing very fast. I feared it would eventually cause bigger problems if it started effecting urinating so I was nipping it in the bud sort of speak lol.

Dakota Sunrise- Thank you!! :D

Oursarge-Thank you :)

Suzi-Hmm I'm not sure. I'v heard two senarioes. One (my vet) said it was ok to get it on my hands, But the stuff is designed to tell the body there is a threat where it is apllies and the body rejects it and de-taches the sarcoid and it falls off. But I also was told to use gloves when I apply it cus it can hurt you so I'm not sure I'd use it around there eyes. You could ask your vet :)

FSA-Thank you :)
