You know, it's one thing to scam horse sellers into sending money via MoneyGram, but it's another to do this:

Sounds like a kid! Unfortunately you tend to get these with the real interested replies and have to filter through them.

My response would be, "sure you can have him free. I just have to have an X amount (asking price) for a rehoming fee and $300 processing fee, $300 fee for stupid people response fee, $300 for because I feel you are really interested.
However if I have to respond to more emails like this I will have to triple my rehoming fee's.
Thank you for your interest and good day."

Kids often put their year of birth somewhere in their email. Since it ended in 1998, I could assume that she's 12. I'm ashamed. When I was 13, I was emailing rescues about adoption costs and process.

Love your response Gaited! LOL

Fork, I agree. My son is 12 and does not conduct himself that way in person or email. I'd be all "off with his head!!!!!"

Kidding :p

But really, I got some doozies when Twister was for sale. Even some all out, cuss out, rants if I wouldn't give her away.

People are..... well, people.

Wow.

I probably would've replied with "If you can't pay $700 to buy a horse, how are you going to pay for board, feed, farrier, vet, worming and everything else that goes into caring for a horse?" Though I do love gaited's response LOL.

When I was 12, I was on my hands and knees begging for lessons every chance I got. I didn't get them until I was 13, but I sure did try. :)
