Good morning everyone! Today's the day litlle Trixie kitty goes into the vet to be spayed- oh joy!

Right now, I have 4 out of 5 cats having a fit because there's been no food out for them since 10:30 last night.

Where's the 5th? Junior's outside, most likely eating the cat food I leave outside for kitties that stay out when we're gone, lol! Unless it's really cold, of course!

I can have Trixie in by 7:30, so most likely, we'll be pulling out of here soon after 7.

Bacon and lettuce sandwich this morning for anyone who wants one!

Hope everyone has a great day!

$120?!!!!! Shesh!

It's been a while for a female for me, but Junior was about $80 two years ago.

I have a running charge account at the vets, so I didn't even ask, lol! I'll let you all know in a kitty thread this afternoon.

Morning everyone. Today is Veterans Day. It has been one year since my husband's uncle Chad died. It's been a hard night last night and will be a hard today remembering. I will be calling or emailing Chad's wife today as well.

Nothing else new here. Went out and spent some time in the dark with the horses last night. I really feel like part of the herd when it's dark and we don't do anything but just stand there together. :)

Good morning everyone. We've had a rough time around here lately and made a very difficult decision. Harley, our Belgian/Morgan cross is up for sale.:( He's my husband's trail horse but he has just become too much horse to deal with for hubby. Hubby is a beginner rider and we've tried really hard for 2 years to make it work with Harley. Harley is the type of horse that needs to be worked frequently, a full-time job if you will, and we can't provide that. He has a lot of potential and we've decided he'd be much better off where he will get lots of work and attention. It was a painful decision and one hubby had to make (frankly I've been ready for this for a while) on his own. We've contacted the trainer we sent him to in May to help us and I've contacted the lady from the hunt club who bought our OTTB a few months ago. Her daughter was quite taken with Harley. He's a gorgeous creature and can be very sweet, but this is just not a good fit and I'm afraid hubby is going to get seriously hurt. When he's good, he's very very good, but when he's bad, he's horrid and you never know what you're going to get out of him.

Hope everyone is doing well here. I'm off to hit the salt mines looking for a job.

God bless and happy trails!

Sorry about having to sell Harley. It's a hard thing to do, but a little easier if you know they are going to a good place.

Already seeing patients here. I dropped Prowler (Yorkie) off at the vet on the way to see if he can go w/o his cast from the horse stomping. He didn't want to stay.
Hubby swapped my Sissy mare and her colt, Freckles out from stall to pasture to keep weaning him.
My new puppy is still here at work with me. He still sleeps alot.
Good day to everyone.

Good Morning! It's raining and raining and raining... :cloud: I was hoping to ride today but I don't think that is going to happen . I got his new saddle pads yesterday , he has a lavender one and a chocolate one. I will get pictures if it stops raining.... I would like to go see that horse that I like today but I haven't heard back from the lady so I'm not sure about that either... guess we'll see.

Good Morning Everyone!!

Well today is my new Friday. Good thing is that I'm still on the schedule and can say that I have a Monday and a FRIDAY.
Not much going on except kids are off from school, I have to work and that is about it. Nothing special.
I will have to bake some cookies for work on my days off. I promised my bosses that since they are working 12+ days straight, I would bake them some cookies to keep them smiling (and off my back LOL JK, my bosses are pretty cool) So it's going to be chocolate chip and molasses cookies.
Well, have a great day EVERYONE! Check back Wednesday night for some cookies;)

RosieRox - sorry to hear about having to sell Harley. We had a similar situation with Raider last year. Tried for a couple years to make it work but he was really too much for my husband. Dumped him several times and one time my husband was seeing black and white. Very scary. His current horse is 100% better for him, so I'm sure there the right horse out there for your husband.

But talking about horses leaving - Bandit is gone. That was A LOT harder than I thought it was going to be to see him go. He loaded like an absolute champ too. I think I need a good shot of whisky in my coffee right now.

HI!:cowboy:

Kids have today off from school so I went right back to bed after I fed the ponies. It's my last full day to recover from the flu before the hectic life of a nanny/chauffer continues. :D

Been working Grace, Ging and Vicor with the neck stretcher the last few days. Teaching a 3yr old off the track Tb that he has rearend is quite a humorious thing to watch. Ging is so smart I have decided to call her our new point and shoot pony. I clipped on the NS yesterday and didn't even bother with the lungline line as Ging now excatly what to do. Trots out until I kiss, then we canter until I say trot, the we whoa. I step infront of her shoulder we change direction and start trotting again. repeat :) I ask her to whoa and stand, she does. I tighten the NS, step back and say trot on Ging and off she goes. I swear I barely had to do any work lol Ging just knows the routine. I love that pony! :D
Grace was AWESOME yesterday. Not even a sign of stiffness in her hindend! Depending how my head feels I might get on her today and so some ring work.

My breakfast is pineapple chunks for my tummy. I lost 4lbs this weekend with the flu and I intend to keep those 4lbs off!!! :D

Have a great day!

Good morning! It's still morning, yay!

I signed up for the substitute teaching class last night. The one in November is booked, but the one for December 10th (which I'm fairly certain I have a final on, but the professor will let me take it another day) had three slots open, so I signed on up! The school system doesn't have another substitue-approval board thingie until the start of January anyway, so it doesn't really matter that I had to take the one in December. :)

I didn't have extra time this morning (got behind a school bus) so I didn't have time to come say hi before 8am Algebra. :( Oh well, I'm here now... for a few minutes anyway. I'm either workin' hard or hardly workin'... I can't even tell anymore. :p

Have a great day everyone! :cowboy:

Happy Veterans Day everyone - I'm very gratefull for all you have done and for those still doing it!

Ran out the door early this morning for bloodwork :( I just hate doing things like that but I have made everyone happy by doing it.
Going out to the farm shortly to ride and then the Princess is getting a massage.
Hope eveyone enjoys the day.

It really is a tough decision to make. And I think it's been hard for my husband to admit it's not the right match. He hasn't wanted to give up on Harley, but he's dumped him a couple of times, once cracking his femur and this past Sunday he really messed up his back when he dumped him. I'm tired of worrying about him getting hurt. It's going to be really hard when the time comes to let him go.:(

Good Afternoon everyone. It's been a rough start to the AM already. Hopefully my stress is done for the day & my plans are to go out & cuddle up with the horse for awhile & head back home for some homework.

Went to the Dr first thing this AM & got the lovely news that I need to get scopes. So needless to say I wasn't to happy. Then I come home to have ANOTHER part timer call off to me after I made her promise that if I give her the day she will not call off (becase she has the habit of doing that) and low N behold... she called off. Same excuse it always is.... GRRRR You just can't count on anyone anymore. Then my other full timer was bitching because I told him I offered the other full timer the OT (because he don't like her~ long story short it's a work romance gone wrong). I told him he needed to grow up & get over it. Now he's ticked. But she didn't take the day anyway for the same reason. GEEZ... (no offense) but teenagers... It's NOT the end of the world, you will get over it. I promisE!

Needless to say, I need some Peace & quiet!

Everyone have a good day. I'm off to see the horse & clear my head.

Happy Vetrans Day everyone! Thank you to all the vets and God Bless.

Sad sad morning for me :( There was a terrible accident this morning on the roadway where a man hit two horses that were in the road. Both horses and the man were killed. Definitely set a somber tone for the day. My boyfriend had to actually drive by it and see the horses in the road. He said he almost cried...he NEVER cries, so it must have just been a horrible scene. Send out a prayer for the man's family and the souls of the poor horses if you can...

Got to see horsey today and get him out to run around a little, thinking about a trail ride tomarrow morning :) I just want to go and give hima huge hug right now. Everyone hug your horses today and be greatful they are alive and well!
