Actually, I would not want to be the person that breaks into our house! TJ may be a big teddy bear to us but he has zero tolerance for strangers that cross his line! You know how when a dog charges a fence aggressively he will stop just before the fence and let you know he's not happy? TJ doesn't. He hits the fence as hard as he can hoping to break through! Poor TJ didn't come from a very happy home before we got him and has the scars to prove it.

My Shyla has a tough growl at play time, is a mush though, but I'd hate to be the one to cross the line with me. I've seen her kill, and I've seen her look for lunch when a human was around. It wasnt pretty, so I know what you mean. Sounds like your TJ is a bit harsher than her though, cause she will run up barking, hair standing, but as long as you are not a threat to me, she will end up leaning on you for a pat.

If TJ doesn't like you or what you are doing you're done. No second chances. It's not that he doesn't like people, he does. But he knows his home and his people and is very protective. The old man is the same but TJ assumes strangers are bad till we tell him they are not. But if we are walking or in the truck, everyone is his friend. Well, except thoes people that are 'bad'. You know.

He was pup till we got TJ and then he became old man and TJ became pup. Now TJ is dog and Duke is pup! hahaha!

Awe, I love the new pictures too. It's great that you got your old man to play.:)

TJ sounds kind of like my dog Cassy. She's a sweetheart with us, but she doesn't do strangers. She does not like anyone she doesn't know in her space and territory. A little annoying when guests come to visit and she won't relax, but comforting when I'm alone in the house and some one comes to the door. Having her beside me barking loud and growling makes me feel safer if it's a stranger I'm not too sure about.

He's kind of hard to explain. He's fine with company because we are fine with company but we have to invite the people in or he wont let them in. We open the door and let them in and it's all good.
