Orlando Bloom is starring in the upcoming remake of The Three Musketeers. SWEET! The movie is being shot in 3D (what isn't these days) and will be released October 14, 2011. The best thing about this movie? It's being filmed in the city I was born!! Wurzburg , Germany. Very cool.

Spider-Man is getting a reboot. No more Tobey Maguire or Kirsten Dunst. Andrew Garfield is now in training as the new Spidey which hits theatres in 3D July, 2012.
Last Airbender movie fans - the movie hits the stores November 16.
Looks like The Hobbit is going to finally get started in January. Ian McKellan indicated he was returning as Gandalf the first of the year. The original Director left and it looks like Peter Jackson could possibly helm the Director role. Let's hope! Martin Freeman is in the running to play Bilbo. Still no release date.
Clash of the Titans 2 will begin filming in February. Most of the cast will be back (the ones that weren't killed off anyway) including Liam as Zeus and Ralph as Hades. Looks like there will be a couple new Gods as well. SWEET! Gemma and Sam are returning as well. We can only hope that the real star returns as well... PEGASUS!
The first t.v. spot for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows aired recently.

Alien is getting a prequel and Ridley Scott is involved! SWEET! More from Ridley:
"The film[s] will be really tough, really nasty," says Scott of the proposed two-part prequel, which he says will take place 30 years before the first film, "It's the dark side of the moon. We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space. And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would go in and clean up a planet?"
Scott refers to the first film's Space Jockey, part of a mysterious race of giants that carried the alien egg as their cargo. A mystery in the first film, the creature's origins have not been explored in subsequent entries to the franchise.
Two prequel films are being prepped to shoot back-to-back in 3D. The original script comes from Jon Spaihts with Damon Lindelof currently doing touch-ups.
Ian McShane of Deadwood fame will be Blackbeard in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Very cool. Here is your first look:
