$340,000 for another junket, fancy hotel, the finest food....you get the picture.

These people should be arrested for theft. Your Congressman, if he/she approved this bailout is incompetent. Write your government representatives and demand a redo, this time with oversight and rules for what this money can be spent on. It's easy, you can use email.

Good grief.

Yea, our tax dollars hard at work??? Who else do we want to bail out/supply lavish hotels, fine food, massages and etc. on???
Us poor working stiffs(and our great, great grand kids too) still have a few more dollars that you big wigs can take!

I'm sorry, but this is like salt on a fresh wound, a VERY LARGE WOUND!

What the HECK is wrong with them???

It's time for tea in the harbor, people.

I'm coming!

These guys need to be arrested for theft and fired from their jobs. We need to take back the money they spent and demand they pay reparations. DON'T they realize the economy is bad? WE had to rescue them and they thank us by spending our hard-earned money on their cushy executives? They don't even have the decency to spend out where it should be!!!

(this could take a while so I think I'll stop there)

WTH HOW is this POSSIBLE?!?! Are there no consequences?

Very easy...the Bush Administration, in their infinite wisdom, put ONE PERSON IN CHARGE, with no accountability to anyone, even the President. All he has to do is monthly briefs. But, it gets better. When Paulson originally crafted the buyout plan, it was 3 pages long. After Congress/Senate got done, it was 304 pages long. As it turns out, an earmark was put in, giving the companies who get cash, EXTRA for the directors.

Ya gotta LOVE government. I've said it before, I'll say it again.......if a politician is talking, he/she is LYING!

Even the saviour Obama is already doing it. During his campaign he said, and I quote, "..there will be no place in my administration for lobbyists....". It came out yesterday that...welllll...that's not QUITE right....lobbyists DO have a place in the Obama administration, as long as they are in a section that was not what they were lobbying for.......yeah....right, that'll DEFINATLY stop them.

Wait, the bail out gets better................Not only Aig,etc already passed now the car companies want and need a bail out and WAIT..............An Airlines, and wait, Circuit City and wait, the list grows and grows.
I still think President Bush (whole family) are crooks and idiots that do not see the whole picture of things. Someone sharp, seen that President Bush(s) are idiots and took full advantage of it, wining, dining and all while Bush keeps signing more and more of our money away to these crooks. I do think Mr President Bush is getting his and all his friends pockets lined well with 8 years (not to mention Daddy Bushy's time in office)
I'm sorry for the rant, this is just plain SICKENING!!!!

It's not ALL Bush...remember, the bailout plan was a "bi-partisan" venture from a Democrat controlled Senate and House....so there's plenty of pockets getting lined.....wonder how I can get some....I just need a mil or so:p LOL

Ditto I agree!!! This wouldn't have passed if it wasn't for the House AND Senate who have to pass it first!!! Stop blaming the president!!! The government is not just him!!! Do you think we'd be doing any better if Al Gore or John Kerry had been elected? How did Obama vote on this issue? Did HE vote for it? How often have we heard of politicians using OUR money to line their own pockets?

Wow, Tiz and horserider "sorry for voicing my feelings and opinions" on this economic disaster.
First, horserider, I did NOT VOTE for Obama sooooooooooo don't really know where you are going with this but the glove doesn't fit.
As I stated before, we are entitled to our opinions and RANTS, (as long as we are not calling each other nasty names.)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this bill the PRESIDENTS Idea and was then presented to house and the senate which was voted down the first time?? Then they sweetened the pot and got it through??? I don't know, could be wrong but...............DONT THINK SO;).

As for politicians lining their pockets with tax payers money. I don't believe all but I do believe that they do "HELP" each other and their buddies.

Your right we are all entitled to our own opinions. My reply was as much for everyone else who blames Bush for everything as much as it was for you. (not saying you blame Bush for everything).

I'm not blaming Bush for everything. He did do us justice by 9-11 but took it too far.
We needed to stand our ground, get the bad guy (BinLadin,Saddam and all of the al qaeda)AND GET OUT OF THE MIDDLE EAST!
I do not believe that President Bush (Jr or Sr) are my best choice for president but who was our choices??? I do support our president, whoever that maybe, but I DO NOT AGREE with all that is done, especially now with the economy in the toilet and we are fighting an endless war.

Today on the news, they was talking about how the AIG EXECS are getting BONUSES from the "BAIL OUT PLAN"
Why in GODS GOOD EARTH would we be giving BONUSES to THESE CROOKED EXECS, wouldn't it be better to GET RID of THEM and find BETTER, CAPABLE people?? It's obvious that the existing exec's are not capable, LOOK WHAT IS GOING ON!
Someone with some brains and GUTS needs to step in and GET RID of this EXEC Group and MANAGE THE BAILOUT RIGHT!
