Well Geaky's appointment to be put down was tomorrow, but she left us before then. My mom just called and said that she ate a few crickets, went to sleep and never woke up. I'm in tears that my another one of my childhood pets has left.
I debated over and over whether to freeze her so she could be at peace, but my I am not home therefore not able to do it myself. My mom broke down in tears when I asked her if she or my dad could do it. I don't blame her that she couldn't. She later told me she got brave and decided to do it, but as she picked up Geaky got very wide eyed and cocked her head and showed her famous smile. My mom broke down and told me she just couldn't do it. So instead I asked her to make an appointment with the vet, the earliest day they could do it was tomorrow. My mom had been force feeding her and I guess she was able to keep the food down finally but it was too late.
Geaky made a slight improvement before her final day. My mom said she hunted the first time in a week. I will miss my little girl dearly, she had such the personality. I am also relived though, I am glad she had a good day before she finally went and that she will no longer suffer.
