Some of you may remember me saying last week that I might be buying a pony to train and re-sale as a hunter pony, but he is hardly broke and he will be quite the project if he is going to to be a childs hunter pony... So funny thing, I found a horse that I almost bought 4 yrs ago as my first horse back up for sale or lease that I was considering leasing but all she has done since the other girl bought her is barrel racing. So I decided at 13 yrs old and 4 yrs a barrel racing and the rest pretty much sitting in a field that it would be a challenge to turn her into a nice hunter. The other coincidence is that I found another horse that I almost bought also back up for sale or lease. This horse is closer and has been doing 3ft Jumpers (I prefer hunters but she may be able to do both and I would also like to try jumpers). Her name is Birdie, I tried her 3 ish yrs ago and we had her vet checked, the past owners were a little "different" and had a animal phsycic come out and ask the horse if she wanted to come live with me and Birdie said she did. So they had brought her out but then decided not sell her and they took her back home :nono:
But now she lives with someone else and has been jumping and everything. So what do you think of her?

She looks a little strong over fences in the video but I think it would be ok. Also, she is rated as an "8" for tempermant because she needs someone experienced since she gets a little excited in new places.

I don't know anything about hunters or jumpers or that particular mare but... I had to comment on the animal psychic. That's... interesting. :D

They brought out an animal physic to find out if the horse wanted to live with you? A little odd... Are we commenting on whether or not you should buy her or just commenting on her?

I like her jump. She's got decent knees not perfectly even though and not snapped up as high as I LOVE but decent jump form for lower level hunters. (I love judging horses jumps btw) Plus though she does flying lead changes! That's great for hunters. Your right she does look a little strong at fences though.

Thanks horserider! Your right her knee's aren't as tucked as they could be but she might get better with practice in hunters not jumpers.

She has a pretty upright shoulder. Typical of a TB but not great for jumping. I also like knees a little nicer than hers for jumping as well.

Don't discount the psychic - some really know their stuff! I'd definitely take a look at her.

Hey, where are you in Oregon? I'm in Gresham.
