Last night I made this amazingly awesome meal! It was so yummy I decided to pass it along! I used my Deer burger to cook it but you can obviously use ground beef. :)
:cowboy:Texas Tater Casserole:cowboy:
1 lb lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped (1cup)
1 medium stalk celery, chopped (1/2 cup)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 cans (10 3/4 oz each) condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 can (11 oz) green giant Mexicorn, drained
1/2 cup old El Paso Salsa
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoons pepper
1 bag (16 oz) frozen potatoe nuggets (tater tots)
1/2 cup shredded taco-seasoned cheese
1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Cook beef, onion, celery & garlic in 12 in. skillet over medium-heat 8-10 min, until beef is browned. (Drain)
2. Stir in soup, corn, salsa, chili powder & pepper. Spoon into ungreased 2 1/2 qt. casserole. Top with frozen nuggets.
3. Bake uncovered 40 min. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 -10 min. or until bubbly & cheese is melted.
Hope you enjoy it! It was very yummy!! Hint: If you like spicy stuff get the "hot" salsa and of course, if you don't get the mild or plain salsa! Enjoy!
