Lady, what can I say.
I DID NOT want a Collie.
We went to the Pure Bred shelter and Bob picked her out, all the while I protested but gave up. He was IN LOVE with her cuteness.
What wasnt cute about her? She was a pup, just adorable.
I knew the cons about them, their teeth, possible health issues but he wouldnt listen.
We came home with her, named her Lady which she fits to a T. Very prissy.
Took her to the vet, she had 3 types of worms, Demodex mange(which was active), so I had to keep Bobs dog home, for months. Demodex is hard to tame no matter how mild. Anyway
I kept her home, had her to the vet every 2 weeks until it was gone, by then she was 4 months older and used to being with me.
Bob started taking her out on the road and she would NOT pee or poo just any where(prissy girl)and ended up with urinary tract infections. I put her on special food the vet prescribed, it didnt help. I started her on Cranberry Plus and it worked. Every time she would go out on the road she would get an infection, so she became my dog.
I have loved that girl for 7 yrs, 6 1/2 of them as my dog.
Today, I found out she has a tumor. There is a 50/50 chance of it going either way, but you know your gonna worry about your baby, so ya, Im worried, Im scared, and Im in tears.
She is going in for surgery to have the tumor removed, her teeth cleaned, a problem tooth worked on, and then I am having the tumor sent in to find out what we are looking at. The pigmentation of the skin is blackish, so he said she has melanoma. We just need to see what the next step is.
Pray, give us good thoughts, what ever, that next Thursdays surgery goes well and that that tumor is fully removed and that Lady will be ok. She is only 7.

Lady Love, you are my special prissy girl. Im not ready for you to leave me.

I hope the best for your Lady. I was in the same situation you were almost 2 years ago with my girl, Payton. I know the exact pain and worry you are going through. I will keep you and Lady in my prayers, you are both special.

Oh No Vicky, I am in tears. She is such a precious girl and she is my link to Noah. They could have been siblings. I hope he will watch over her and she will be OK. No matter how we try to keep them safe something happens. It'll be 2 yrs next month that Noah got sick and 2 yrs next month that Puppy was born. Isn't that very strange? It might be right to the day. Anyway I only have good thoughts for Lady, she is so beautiful and I know how much you love her, I love her too, sometimes it hurts to see her pictures because I think of my boy but I look because I do love her, she always seems like such a sweet gentle dog. I am only hoping the best for her and will ask Noah to please keep her safe and with you for a long time.

Only good thoughts for your girl. I can't stop thinking about the two of you. I have already talked to Noah so hopefully he will come through for her. When he was alive I always showed him her pictures so he will know who I am talking about. Extra hugs to her, hopefully she is like my Uncle's dog Alice, I mentioned her, she was covered in cancerous tumors, I forget how many they took off of her and years later she's doing fine. Nothing but positive thoughts she is such a beauty. I wish we could have another dog I'd get another Collie breed. I love Puppy but think she needs a collie as a buddy. When I had my other Westie she had a Collie for a best friend and they made such a great pair I have wanted that again but it hasn't happened, I either have the Collie or the Westie but not together. Hugs and more hugs to her.

Lady thanks you for the complements! She is a sweet looking dog for sure.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
I will keep you updated on surgery day.
My vet is great, and I know he will do the best he can for her.
He is dealing with one of his own dogs who has a bad case of it, so I know this is a tough thing on him right now.
He is the vet that put my ole man Ruffus to sleep for me.
He knows how I feel about my animals, and he is very caring.
Lady will be in good hands.
