Eggs again for breakfast this morning. It's drizzlng out- definitely a gloomy day today.

I get to have the fun of putting ear wash and antibiotic ointment in Trixie's ears this morning- oh fun times!

Not much to do today except maybe get some housecleaning done.

News flash - it's NOT raining here! And may not for several days. :) Good thing, the rivers need to come down. I wonder if Sedona has water in her barn, she hasn't been on.

Morning. Rain here. And it looks like for the next few days. YUCK!!!

STILL trying to get the horses to drink from the barn. AH!!! Driving me nuts!

Now I'm just waiting for the ground to freeze so it's not so muddy out in the front pasture.

I don't think I have anything going on today.. hubby is sick with a cold (which he almost NEVER gets) so now I'm sure we'll all get our 2nd cold of the season pretty quick.

Well we are about to get rain here later today. Cool this a.m. and I feel like pooo, full moon and kids are WOUND!!!!!!!!!!

When it rains it pours, Cane is a poop head, and I just was told that due to budget cuts the program I work in will most likely be cut next year. GREAT!!! I can bump someone, but what do you do with these kids that need so much help????

Great news WB.

Bob is home! We went out to feed, he stayed out to blow leaves and mulch them, silly boy, could of come in for breakfast first. I ate, and will cook for him when he comes in.
Not sure what the day brings for us. There are leaves he likes to tackle, the moth balls need to come out from under the house so it can be closed up. Time allowing, we will be able to go see a movie we've been wanting to see. We will see.
Im just glad hes home, he has been gone 10 days.
Just went and talked to him.
I think he would rather mulch wet leaves in the cold, than come inside. Argh, if ya wanna work outside, get the moth balls out from under the house.

WB= I watched the US news last night and it said that the Tumwater area was really badly flooded and that parts of Interstate 5 were under water.....I hope all is well @ your place and sedona's!!

Back up a few posts- seems like WB's doing okay so far- it's Sedona that's the big worry.

Oh yeah - we're fine. We don't flood here. There are low spots near by..... but not where we are. In fact, once the rain stops, we're dry. There's a lot of reasons why I don't want to buy this property, but it's soil and drainage is not one of them. I can only hope we can find ground like it when we build someplace.

Is it OK to camp on a piece of property during a Pineapple Express, just to test the drainage before you buy? :)

I keep seeing this gal leading a big red horse on TV, who looks a lot like Sedona and her Timber, but it's saying it's at the fairgrounds in Monroe, and there's no reason they would have gone all the way there if they had to bug out of their place.

Include me in the dry group - mid 60's forecasted here today. FINALLY! We are STILL cutting corn & at the pace we're going...we'll be cutting to at least Thanksgiving. I'm getting out of the office to drive grain cart. :)

That is, when I'm not at the docs or trying to sleep off this crap I've caught. Strep has been ruled out & while I'm feeling better my right tonsil is still twice it's normal size & extremely sore & I'm missing my real food! Milkshakes & veggie/noodle soup are about all I can handle....grrrr. :mad: What good are tonsils anyhow? I don't think I'd be against cutting the dang things out. They get bothersome whenever I catch something.

I hope those with too much rain get through it alright - sedona check in! Tanya...that darn Cane. I hope things turn up for you soon.

It's raining here!!! Sprinkling now but it was raining hard a few minutes ago, I had to go to the dentist, some idiot was flying passing people while it's pouring down rain.:mad::whack:

Well Suseys Milk jug was a hit, Hub said she stood in her stall all day, she'd wack the jug with her nose, it would fly back and hit her in the head :huh: and she'd hit it again... my horse the genius. She was also trying to bite it.

( I hung a milk jug in her stall yesterday morning with stones in it for her to play with )

Good Morning ya'll!

I took my airborne, but I'm still not feeling perfect yet. I couldn't sleep last night... then Lucky woke me up to let me know he was too hot (I'd left the space heater on so I wouldn't freeze to death) at 2:22am. I fell back to sleep really fast, but I hate waking up like that. I'm also concerned about Nana and Papa right now... I won't go into it, but the moral of the story is that it's exhausting. ;)

I'm going to go eat a snack and take a nap before my next class. A friend and I are going out to eat after I get out of my next class, so I'm enthused about that. My head, however, is not so enthused. :rolleyes:

Same here! Cold and wet. I just finished wrestling with a couple of big round bales getting them in the pole barn through all the mud. I definitely have to get a tractor or skidloader before winter.

Morning all!!! The show is on!!! So I'm getting up and about to start a whirl wind to get ready. I quit preparing midweek since there was rumor it would be canceled! So I gotta try to get everything togther today... I just pray I don't forget anything! Knowing me I"ll forget something really important like my girth!!!

Finger's crossed that we do well, but most importantly I just want a safe trip and a good experience for the Fid!
