We got the news tonight that hubby's grandma passed away tonight from pnemonia (sp?). She was 90 and lived in a nursing home, but when she got sick she didn't want to go to the hospital.

Hubby is doing okay. She lived in MN so we didn't get to see her that often so he wasn't really that close with her. His dad (it was his mom) doesn't even know yet. He had a meeting that he went too and after he left, his wife got the call. He's still at the meeting, she can't get a hold of him... so she's waiting for him to get hom to tell him.

She is very upset. It doesn't make it any better that Tuesday was the 1 year anniversary since her brother died. So this is bringing all that back up to the surface, even more than it already was.

Please send your prayers to my in-laws and all the other relatives. She is now at peace and reunited with her husband who had passed earlier on.

Oh man, that poor woman, having to hold on to that thought for so long, with him being in a meeting. It would be eating me up, even if we werent close.
((HUGS))prayers for all the family.

Prayers for your family. That sure is terrific longevity, though. We should all be so lucky in that regard. She's back with her beloved husband and young again!

I'm so sorry, no matter how old a person is we still miss them when they are gone. My grandmother was 3 weeks away from her 91st birthday when she had a heart attack. I was happy she went fast and always had her mind and lived on her own but I still miss her and the funny things she would say. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. It is never easy losing a loved one, expected or not. Have comfort that she had a long life and went out on her terms.

Thanks guys. My father in law came over this morning and my hubby was out hunting so it was just me and the kids. He was very upset and you could tell he had been crying. I'm so not good with this sort of thing, so I didn't know what to say. They are leaving today to go to MN and spend time with family. They are calling us to let us know when the funeral will be. :( He told me that he wanted us to bring the kids though. Which I think will be a good distraction for him and we have family there that will be able to watch them for the service, etc.

Such a hard hard month for all of us. Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts.

I'm so sorry to hear about this....your family has had enough for one month, I Know what you mean, I never really know what to say or do either, but just being there really is comforting for them.
