She's got name recognition around the world. Hard to see her as our #1 diplomat. Right now its only a rumor. I guess we wait & see.

I see this a political "bone".I'm sure there are alot of more qualified folks toiling away in the State Dept. I guess the next step is to name Bill as UN ambassador. The good thing about Sec of State job is at least its not for life like a spot on the Supremes.

Well, you'd have to give him some kind of job, or he'd just keep walkin' in on Hillary.... "Hey Toots! What's goin' ON?"

I think that Hilary is a Very strong person who could handle this position, even the Presidency (I believe better than Obama)
As for Bill, he needs to play more golf or more rounds in an oval office with a blue dress. LOL!

There is a very big difference between a politician & a diplomat. All a politician needs is a big mouth & a diplomat needs to know when to shut up.

Nope, I'll bet Bill Richardson gets it.

Would you mind listing your reason(s) as to why you don't think she's right for the job? I don't have an opinion either way.......just curious.

1. She doesn't have much foreign policy expericene. Kind of like the blind leading the blind. Nobama and hitlary neither one having much foreign policy experience is a bad thing. On the other hand Bill Richardson has hostage negotiation experience. Was the Ambassador for the UN and also speaks a couple languages. Bill Richardson is 100% more experienced in this area then either of the other two.
2. She likes to go " rouge" and do her own thing. I think she would try and push much of her own agenda on Obama causing a rift. Basically I don't think she's a good team player.
3. Hillary comes with her Bill and if Obama is all about "CHANGE" Why have Bill an Hillary back in the white house at that high of a level?

S413, see my post about the difference between a politican & a diplomat. Personally I don't think Hillary knows when to shut up & listen. Diplomats work behind the scenes doing the Presidents dirty work. Meeting behind closed doors away from the public eye. I don't think she'd like that much. JMHO

Isn't that what she did when Bill was in office? (J/K!;)) Good point. She has had a few years in the spotlight & seems to thrive on it. I suppose it would be hard to go back to being in the shadows now.

When she was first lady she could pose for pictures & run her mouth all she wanted because guess what, she wasn't elected. I guess the poor folks in New York will be heartbroken if she has to leave to head back to the White House.
