{New Pictures Page 3, post #25- Puppies' first snow day} 6 week old pups

You know for something that was never supposed to happen, this is turning out to be a really great thing. I love these puppies. My whole family adores them. And they're fitting into our lives perfectly. I guess even though it was a mistake it was maybe meant to be... but Cassy is still getting spayed.:cool: Lol ;) :p

Anyway, lots more pics of the babies because I can't resist!:innocent: They are doing so great, growing like weeds. For 6 week old pups I think they're actually pretty smart! They don't have many accidents in the basement anymore. They are completely paper trained when in their pen, we have newspaper in one corner and the rest is their bed and play area. They only go potty on the paper.
We've also been taking them outside alot and they're really getting the idea. Now when we say "Lets go, everybody outside!" and open the door, three rollypoly puppies go tumbling outside to do their business. When they get too far away we call them by name and they come. When it's time to go back in they run right through the door.
Tonight I was at the computer and the puppies were playing. I looked up to see Mika whining by the door turning in circles. She had to go potty and knew she was supposed to go outside. I jumped up and opened the door and she ran right out. I got my boots, coat, and a flashlight and joined her and sure enough that's why she wanted out. What a smart puppy.:)
They still get into all kinds of mischief of course. We have to keep anything we care about up and out of reach or it will be chewed and dragged away, lol.:p But they really are a bundle of joy, times three.:)

Pictures of my babies, all from this week. Can't believe they're almost seven weeks old! *sniff* They go to the vet's on the tenth for their first shots and deworming. I wanted to take them sooner but the vet's office is booked solid. But they said 8 weeks is fine for first shots anyway. Hopefully they'll be semi leash trained by then (the puppies, not the vet;)). They're getting used to their collars now, I have them wear them when they come out to play.

Yes, we are keeping all three. Mika is mine. Gabbie is my mom's. Chance is my dad's unless he decides he doesn't have time to train him for hunting. If that happens Chance will then either become mine as well or will just be another family dog like Cassy. Whatever works.:)

No need to thank me. There was never a doubt in my mind- I knew as soon as they were born that they'd all be staying here. It took a little while for my parents to realize it, but we're all very comfortable with that decision now. They're part of the family and really bring us a lot of joy.

Not that weird actually. Our eyes are almost the same color, and sometimes she makes expressions similar to mine.:p Her personality is a lot like mine too, lol.:p

Awe, too cute! I love watching puppies in the snow, especially for the first time! They get so excited! It snowed here a couple of weeks ago, but didn't stick. Molly had no clue what was going on, but she had fun, haha! I'm hoping for a really good snow for her soon.
