I have booted two kids out already and they have only been here for 1/2 an hour, the turkeys. It is gonna be a long day.

I have a crazy schedule today and tomorrow. I have to help do a benefit supper for tomorrow night, tons of errands to run and then help set-up only to leave to go to a 60th b-day party for a family friend on hubby's side. Cane was NAUGHTY last night, but a kiss my butt angel this a.m. Oh I could just spank him some days.

I have FRESH HOMEMADE cinn rolls to share, ummm I may not share them they are sooo good.:p

Have a great day all and a fabulous weekend.

Morning Tanya. Silly Cane!!

I got a busy morning myself. I'm stuck here at work till about 10 or 11. I'm on hour ummm 27 straight here at work! UGH I'm tired. I can't complain though, the lovely people of the town let me sleep most of the night last night with out any calls until 530 this morning! GRRRR.

I'm anxiously awaiting to go home & spend some much needed cuddle time w/ the hunnie. Out for the hunt tonight (shot gun) started today. Then back home to cook for a surprise b-day party for one of our friends tomorrow. Yippee! Good times. Then back to work on Sunday.

Rainy here still today. Suppose to rain all the way till Sunday. Bring it on. Just wish it was snow.

Bagels & Eggs this morning! Coffee and Unsweeten tea as well!

Have a great weekend Everyone!

I would love some Cinnamon rolls. Sorry about the kids being buttheads. At least you can kick them somewhere. LOL!

Still rainy here, but warmer than yesterday, very foggy this morning. Dryer went out again, we decided we are not going to put more $$$ into it and just get a new set. We have a stacked set, I love it, we went with a cheaper version when we got our house 6 years ago, we are going to upgrade this time. W/D do not last like that used to and they are so much more expensive to repair. The heating element we replaced cost $100!

So off to the laundromat tonite to dry towels. I warned the family they needed to conserve towels, but they did not listen to me and now we are out. At least I have one stashed for myself. No body better touch it!

Was going to do some closet cleaning and organizing this weekend but looks like I am on a doggie transport to Northern VA/Soutern PA tomorrow. At least I get to meet Shelsnaus and Hunterseat. That is always a consolation to meet forum members. Gas was down to $1.99 in VA last weekend so that will help with the transport cost.

Hope everyone is doing good today. Who has the Mimosas? Offgridgirl? Whoohoo, are you there?

Good morning!

Where is everyone this morning? I've been up forever! I just got back from dropping bro off at school. Surprise! I can get him up, dressed, teeth/hair brushed and out of the house on time without a screaming match! The parentals will be seriously impressed that he got to school on time. :p

I'm having a crazy cleaning day. Seriously. I'm not going to sit here and dawdle the day away... really. :innocent: Then the dogs are going to the vet this afternoon for their yearly appointment - I have them both very excited about the word 'vet'. Now, Roto - I'm not surprised about... but Lucky knows what a vet is, he's been going for ten years! But he's excited and that's all that really matters. :D

*swipes one of Tanya's cinnamon rolls when she isn't looking... wanders off*
Have a great day everyone! :cowboy:

I'll take a cinnamon roll, please! Great after breakfast snack!

I'm going to go outside in a little bit and hopefully take Gypsy for a turn or two around the yard before the weather gets too bad- the temps are dropping, and it's starting to snow, lol!

In the meantime, I've got scrambled eggs with ham and bacon in them to share.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well, I'm just studying today- still. Second test is Monday! It's a good day for it, though. Foggy, dreary, and due for some rain/Tshowers this evening.

Tanya- you're cracking me up. Cinnamon rolls- mmmmm. All I've had so far is coffee.

Fox- glad the people were at least decent enough to let you sleep a little!

Rums- Ugh! That stinks, but I'm with ya on just springing the cash for a new set. At least it'll be nice to have something new and in working order again! Have fun at the laundromat. Oh- and bring us a biscuit! (what?? I can have a CR and a biscuit! :innocent: )

Starkitten- have fun at work, and poo on you for having a week off! J/k ;) Enjoy!

Oops- I was too slow. Hi ALOK and GR!! :)

I went to bed to late last night. Bleeeeh. And now I'm awake too early.

And ... there's a brushfire brewing in Santa Barbara ... well, out towards Montecito more than anything, but it's looking ugly. We got a couple warm days with some sundowner winds, and it's gone and exploded.

Not good. Although I live well west of the fire (it'd have to burn west through most of downtown) and the pony is safe where he is. He got to experience all the fun of evacuating in the middle of the night back in July with the fire on that side of town. But since that's all burned now, he's fine.

Good morning!
I hope no one is to close to that fire in Santa Barbra, stay safe everyone! And all those in Washinton I hope your drying up quickly!

Hopefully going to ride today, should have yesterday but I have been putting off working with my student (filly) lol. So had to do that and Niko was mad cause I didn't do anything with him so it's supposed to be somewhat warm here (50's) so he'll get a nice little work out I think.

Psst, *points up to the thread above yours* ;)

Actually, we're fine. The office for the non-profit I work for is downtown, but I don't have to go into the office today, and so can avoid all the hustle and bustle.

Just crossing my fingers this thing doesn't ignite even further. It could get ugly, real fast if it gets down into the residental areas. When we had the Gap Fire in July, a lot of horse barns (including the one Mitch is boarded at) had to evacuate, but they were very lucky and not a single house was burned. Also, it was out in the more rural area of Santa Barbara/Goleta so there were orchards and stuff rather than houses.

Morning, TGIF!! It looks like snow today, I don't think the sun has been out here all week long, or longer.
I have an interview this afternoon, they offer good benefits (I need health insurance!) so I am hoping this may work out for me. I'm done with temporary jobs and looking for a permanent job now, this is permanent, altho part time, but it is at a hospital so there is a lot of room for future opportunities there and very good benefits and retirement plan.

Have a good Friday!

We got to work on going at my selected pace which I finally won on this one;) He likes to gait on the way back and I make him walk, gait, whoa, back, at MY REQUEST!

Country Girl, Those Bagels and eggs sounds so good! YUM YUM

Evening :D 5:20pm here :)
School was alright - just incredibly boring! I was up until 3am finishing an essay that I'd been set the same day (who sets a 10000 word essay on Christianity on a Thursday to be due in for the Friday?) and was due in today :(. My teachers have...issues.

Not doing much tonight :p. Planning on dismantling my old laptop to get some parts out and I've been offered £70 to modify an Xbox 360 controller so I need to dismantle that and see what parts I need to order :D.

Chicken and chips for tea :p. Hope everyone has/had a good day!

Good mornin everyone! Just finished my coffee and I'm wanting more...also wanting Tanya's cinnamon rolls and Gypsy's eggs! Maybe I'll go grocery shopping after work today and make myself a nice breakfast tomarrow....

The only thing that's making me cheery this morining is knowing it's Friday!! Woohoo! This has been a long week. Weekend plans...another lady is coming to look at the saddle tomorrow, gonna go on a beach run with dad and puppers, gonna play with the horsey on Saturday and go for a ride on Sunday. On Sunday I get to see my best friend who's pregnant and just found out it's a little boy!! BF's away so I have the WHOLE weekend to do what I want :) Sweet.

Afternoon everyone,
I know I know I have been a bad poster... *smacks hand*
Woke up at 3:30 am to the bush outside my window SLAMMING against my window...GREAT wind gusts. Get out of bed as we didn't wind proof the yard and we set the garbage out early... sure enough the two large boxes the office desks came in were making their way down the street. So in my pj's at 3am I am chasing cardboard down the road.
Secured the boxes, check the horses, it is a hot wind so no need for blankets, found out outdoor dog stuck in the tack room, she was smart enough to go in there but the wind slammed the door shut so she was stuck. Threw the mares and Vic a flake of hay because if I didn't Gracie would start her kicking, didn't feel like waking anyone at 3am because she's a PIA.

Wind gusts up to 70 mph today so NO outside chores are getting done. My sis and I did some tack shop hopping for her secret santa on her other board and I found a few things my future SS might like, now we're waiting for the nephew to get out of class then it's off to due more errands. The kids have half days on Fridays so we don't get a lot done until they are home.

No riding or driving today :-( keeping an eye on the news to watch for any more fires.

Have a great day everyone!
