just got a smokin' deal on an SMX Air Ride saddle pad on eBay

It is a Christmas present for my fiancee's daughter's horse, Blue ;). She has been using a folded wool blanket for a saddle pad (no foam or felt in it) because the saddle is a close fit. I like the SMX pads because they do not have a lot of bulk to them and they absorb shock really well. They are the only synthetic pad I have really fallen in love with.
I worked with the horse a lot during our elk camp trip and I am almost certain the mare's bucking problems are pain-related from saddle fit problems. The saddle is not as good a fit as my fiancee or his daughter think it is; it comes down low into the shoulder and the mare strangely happens to buck when a rider leans into the left forehand unexpectedly.
I am a little selfish in this eBay buy because the daughter hardly ever rides her horse, "Blue" is pretty much in the care of my fiancee and I. I just wanted a good saddle pad for the mare, she deserves one. My fiancee rides her more than his daughter does.
PS Blue's tack color is blue, so the pad suits her well!
