So I hurt my arm really bad on swim team  it sucked! Since its competition season for my school so I hadn't ridden in 3 weeks and last night I had my first lesson and when I got on she wouldn't even go. Whenever she gets a break for any amount of time she just decides she is done but anyway a few minutes she relized it was back to concentrating for a bit and our lesson was great. We are doing work with ground poles because I can't really start truly jumping until I get my diagonals and my leads at a canter down. (I'm working on it!) but anyhow it was two poles stacked and we came down the middle. And we are just working on how to focus and navigate an obstacle and the first time anna just stopped and slowly walked over it which was hillarious and the 2nd time she jumped at least a foot and a half in the air and it was AWESOME. I know I'm retarded :p but it was so exiliration and it wasn't even that high. I just love the feeling so that was my night.

Beauty had gone over poles both those ways.:D :p You are going to love jumping so much! It really is a thrill. I don't jump Beauty very high at all, but when she actually does it (sometimes she refuses everything I point her at, and other times she sores right over them:rolleyes:) it is still a really cool feeling.

anna I know exactlyyy what you mean about the ground poles. I always get so excited when I see my trainer laying them out hehe. It's baby steps :) I can't wait until I'm jumping 3ft hahah I'm sure you can't either! Good luck with her!

Cool. Congratulations! If you recall, we had your flight all booked for the Summer Olympics in Hong Kong and you backed out at the last minute for some reason I can't recall. Glad you're back to practicing the stadium jumping. You'll need to be ready for 2012 in London.

Hope your arm is all better. This business of trying to keep you in training as a top athlete in so many sports takes it's toll. But if it's what you want....

Beauty and Shady you have NO IDEA! hahah I think i might burst if I don't jump something in the next couple weeks.

JacieB- I know.. I don't recall such a shame i'll definintly be ready this go round! And yeah its a bum about my arm but thats life sometimes unfortunately.

Gypsy- haha yeah actually my trainer was laughing :)

Today went badly its our first cold day in texas and it was super windy one of our windiest too and I brought anna up and I knew I shouldn't ride her but I did anyway (shame shame.) and it just went badly. She was so hyper and not listening I was trying to work on half halts and I ended up getting frusterated and wanting to just pull on the reins. (which is very very really super bad..) so I just got off. Sometimes I don't understand how we can get it perfect two nights ago and then today but its alright theres always tommorow :) I made sure we ended on a good note
