So I was watching Survivorman last night and in this particular episode he had 2 horses to care for too. And he recognized a plant poisonous to horses. So I thought it would be fun to test our knowledge of poisonous plants.
You can either mail me your answers and I'll tell you how many are right or you could post here and I'll mail you to tell you how many you got right. I'm not sure which would be better.

1. This plant is also poisonous to humans. The toxin inside causes severe stimulation and finally paralysis of nervous system. As little as 30-60 gm of the root is sufficient to kill an adult horse.

2. This plant is extremely common. It's most toxic during rapid growth and retains toxicity even when dried in hay. Signs of poisoning begin 8-10 hours after ingestion.
Hint: Monarch butterflies get their toxicity from this plant.
