I didnt know I needed/wanted this, but thanks to HeartofSteel, I guess I do...LOL
Her sales thread did it, its all her fault...LOL
I just HAD to have those hay bags. They were sooo nice and I knew I could put the hay in them and hang them for Myst to eat a bit slower. But noooooo, I got beat to her sale, so I had to do research and find them at the lowest cost. I did, smartpak. NICE

I got 2 black ones, but who cares, they will do the job!!

Ya, I knew it was you, but oh well, I wasnt as fast as you to the sale. I wanted color but figured what the heck, for a lesser price, Ill take them.
So now I can pre bag her hay and just rotate them out. If they dont hold enough, I can still put a flake or 2 in her barrel. I hear they do though, so I should be good.
I wont be here when they arrive so Ill have to ask my house sitter how they are working out.

I want one of those too! They look really handy.

Mitch would make short work of that haybag. Those holes are too big to really slow a horse down, but I'm sure they could be handy for keeping hay from getting spilled all over the place.

Understanding Mysts eating habits is another thing though. She eats out of a 40 gal bucket and has no issue with finishing it off.
I have hay bags for my trailer and even though the hole in it is big, she dosnt seem to eat fast out of it.
She will "graze" longer with these than eating out of the bucket.
I want these 2 because they are larger and will hold more hay.

yeah i use one similar to this. I like it a lot better then just throwning the hay on the ground. Seems to be less waste and a lot neater!! :)

I saw these at Chick's the other day for $10. It wasn't the same brand though.
