Ever gave 20 emotionally and physically disabled kids riding lessons in one day?

Me either... til Friday...

And I still just want to sleep. lol

I love my new job.

Oh and I have been getting more riding time in. And I am looking at different horses lately. And drooling over saddles etc.

I should be non-horseless again within a month or so.

I'll try to post pictures up from work, at least some of the kids (with parental permission).

I really love what I do. It's amazing what horses do for these kids. Especially the ones who are from the "other side of the tracks" .. it makes the hardest kid soft.

That is so great that you get to work with these kids. Kids of today, no matter what side of the tracks they are from, need to find an interest, love and passion for something other than video games, tv, drugs and sex.
Here you go, three cheers to you for making a difference!

geezitsjackie: that's really cool :) I love it. Especially with the kids who can do a little more, like learn to canter on the lunge line etc.. their faces make all the difference!

Gaited: That's true. It gives them something to look forward to and something to believe in. For some of them, school is the only safe and happy place they have :(
