Good Morning all!
It's snowing a bit in NE Ohio, but Arrow's safely ensconced in his new home. I'll ride this afternoon for sure. No protein bar for me this morning, no sireee--I'm off with friends in a bit to a great cafe that makes most excellent French Toast!
Have a great day, everybody!

Not much planned here today I'm not sure I'll ride with the wind we are having gusting to 24 mph, it was crazy warm here yesterday with rain but I ended up giving her a real bath :) it doesn't happen very often to hit almost 70 degrees in New England durning Nov. I didn't get pictures but I'll get a few today when I'm out getting photos of a saddle.

Good Morning, All. 34 degrees at 7:49 am in SW MO. Kind of worn out today. My daughter has been here visiting from Chicago. We kept my son's children for almost 48 hours, a 10 month old and a 7 yr old. It is true. There is definitely a reason women why women my age don't have children. Getting up at 4:30 am to change diapers and "play" is hard on an old lady, especially since Landon was up at midnight, too. It was fun and I loved it, but I'm tired none the less.
Not sure what I will do today. Still need to pack away summer clothes and get more winter clothes out. That is what I should do, so hopefully I can get enough energy up to get busy. Hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning! 24 above out here- not exactly a heat wave!
Lazy this morning- all I have to offer are English Muffins- I don't even have jelly or jam for them- just sugar, lol! I'll have to break down today and make cinnamon-sugar mix for them.
Haven't checked the weather yet, but it looks like it's going to dump more snow on us- we got about half an inch yesterday- just enough to track in the house, lol!
I'm going to try to get some more housecleaning done- I have this bad habit of going over to the computer every time I get near it, instead of cleaning, lol!
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Good morning all! I'm having a great morning!!! We're having the first snowfall of the year that sticks to the ground! Fingers crossed for Snow Day tomorrow!!! And I just found out that the American Idol contestant from last season who sold her horse to go and then when she tried to get it back the guy wouldn't sell it back to her, has a song on the country music countdown!

Good afternoon :D I've got a little break between the stables this AM and rehearsals at Lumley.
I've had a good morning so far...OK, so I only mucked out 2/6 stables, but that's because I had to lead Strider in the new morning class which consists of able-bodied novice riders. She so could have rode without a leader D: and I coulda got more work done...
Then I had my lesson and now my tum, bum and thigh muscles WRECK from trying to work Ed, the tankish over-bent on-the-forehand showjumper, into a contact whilst maintaining a proper seat D: owwies!
And now I have 2 hours of singing :) weyyyy. New Christmas programme!
Hope you all have a good Sunday!

Good Morning !
It's I just woke up and I'm scared to look out the window! It's been raining like CRAZY for the past few days here. ....oh wow it finally stopped! WOOHOO! :D It is SUNday. (Lol, well not really... it looks like it's going to rain :P) Not too much going on today. Going to see Tanner again :). He hasn't been able to get outside lately, the pastures are lakes! So I've been lunging him a lot and letting him run around in the indoor. I've never seen him buck so high lol, I've had to ride out a few lately. I also want to go shopping today, so I'm going to pick a friend up and we'll go.
Hope you all have a great Sunday

Hi all! Well, I got NO studying done yesterday because we had to take DS to the ER/Immed care for asthma. Fun, fun. By the end of the dramatics, all I could do was go to the bathroom and cry. And call Diane to set me straight! :( So many terrible things went through my head, it was ridiculous! Ha ha.. it's not very easy to "play nurse" when it's your own kid, I'm finding out!
Anyways, I'm home with him today. He still can't do too much w/out wheezing. Not much AT ALL. So he's pretty much confined to his pallet in the floor w/ treatments every few hours or so.
Okay! Rant over! LOL
I hope everyone continues to have a great, restful Sunday! :)

Howdy all!
Thank goodness it's a little warmer here today. Yesterday was awful, a real taste of winter coming. Ick. 20-30 mph winds, sleet off and on, and the temps dropped into the low 20's with windchill in the teens last night. My oldest mare wore her winter turnout blanket for the first time this season. Today it's supposed to be sunny and in the 40's which is good since we have our first potential buyer coming to look at our draft cross, Harley. She asked me not to do anything with him before she gets here. She wants to brush him, etc. Should be interesting. I had intended to groom him and work him a bit before she got here, but she seems to know her stuff so she's going to get the full on Harley treatment I guess. She's looking for a jumping/dressage prospect and I'd love to see him get an owner who will give him a new career and lots of work like he needs. Wish us luck!
Take care all and happy trails!

Good Morning. Just woke up. Going to the barn later to ride Ben. My friend and her sister were supposed to go on a trail because it is sunny out.. but her back is hurting so she cant ride and cancelled our trail. So I guess ill be sticking to the arena again, unless my instructor comes out. Then im going back to school to get some homework done.

Good evening! I went out with my friend to her friends farm. Stayed the night out there last night, got up early to give my two friends riding lessons while I worked with there wild, unbroke 4 year old. After an hour and a half, I had him saddled, bridled, and at a walk in the round pen. I guess I am in change of "breaking" him now :) I guess I'm excited... My best friend is getting me back into riding... Big step!!!!!

What a great day this was!
Galloped Sarge around the farm for about 30 minutes (like a long-distance longe), stretched him (horse yoga) and then started teaching him how to bow and lower his head on voice command. He caught on quick, so now we'll work on making it pretty.
Worked out the pony and the mini too. I'll get pics of the mini soon- he's too cute.
Sierra had a riding lesson and learned how to do an emergency dismount. We're keeping her bareback for a while so she'll learn to ride the horse and not the saddle.
Oh, I finally sold the saddle I had on consignment for 6 months! Time for a warm dinner and cold drink to celebrate.
Good Evening All.
