It's whats for Thanksgiving!! Just joking. Not at my house anyways. We're debating menus. I'm not in the mood for turkey, ham, etc. I voted for prime rib, yum! I even offered to venture forth & fetch said prime rib & cook it too. That might help with the decision-making process. Beef its what for Thanksgiving! I hope.:cowboy:

What's Turducen?
I think we're going to get a turkey- good sandwiches for a week off that!

Its a chicken stuffed into a duck which is then stuffed into a turkey. Kind of a "fowl" mixture if you ask me.:p

I wondered on the name- but why would anyone want to eat that?

Animals inside other animals?
I'd love to do a prime rib at home some time, on the grill. Have you done it that way?

Never heard of it....sounds bizarre! I may just go out to eat, otherwise I usually end up sitting here alone.....I don't have any family close by and they're all too far for me to drive to for the day. So, sometimes I go out to eat...I have a couple friends who do that too, I may join them....or another friend invited me over to her in-law's house for dinner.....I may do that.
I love the dressing and mashed potatoes and gravy the most! And the pumpkin pie of course! lol.

I love Thanksgiving, that and Christmas are two of my favorite holidays. :)

Turducen is something rich people around here like to do... for some reason unbeknownst to me (then again, I'm not rich).
We always have a turkey, ham, the occasional roast, and fried chicken (Nana does turkey, ham and fried chicken. The rich grandparents' do turkey, ham and roast). We may also have hamburgers and country ham at Nana's Thanksgiving... and the scary party is that there's more vegetables than there are meats! Veges are too numerous to list. :D
Nana making a cake, fudge (chocolate and chocolate/peanutbutter and probably some peanutbutter), chew bread, maybe peanut brittle (yum) and several other desserts for us. We like dessert in our family. :D

I don't know how you survive on that stuff Zoe! But, to each their own. I couldn't keep my roundness eating like you do. lol
We will be having the traditional meal at my sister's house this year. I will be working some of the day and luckily she lives close enough for me to stop in for some fun.

I can't find anything that starts with "turd" appetizing! It might be a way to make duck taste better though.

Oh, I forgot to tell you! Zoe - You'd be proud of me! I tried tofu other day (and thought of you!). It was gross (the texture... I liked the sauce)... but I took THREE bites, just to make sure. :cowboy:

Haha good for you ALOK! I hate tofu like 90% of the time. A lot of people just do not know how to prepare and it feels like jello going down your throat. I make a mean stir-fry with it, though :)

Well, it appears that I'm getting my way, for once. Now all I have to do is figure out how many folks are coming so I know what size to get. Hopefully I'll be able to use the BBQ if the weather isn't too drippy. If not, into the oven the ribs go. I actually like it that way because we can get the drippins for gravy, yum.

Now that really makes me NOT want turkey. Those ribs sure sound yummy though.
I bought a boneless ham, nothing big, just the 2 of us ya know.
