LOL... that's about the size of it. The cuts should be the big red part of the pie instead. The part labelled "deficit". Heck... it should be some of the blue, too.

Tiz, double dog dare you to post that on the DU site that punished WB for giving a definition. I wonder how long you'd last?

You know... I don't blame him for the sheer magnitude of it. It's decades and decades of mission creep. There's stuff in there Obama hasn't had TIME to think up and implement. It's just there by it's own momentum.
I WISH we could have a president, and a congress, that would eliminate EVERYTHING, and let only essential things back in one at a time.
Complete housecleaning. You can't clean a hoarder's house by moving around individual things. You have to take EVERYTHING out.
You got me with the title.
We sure need legislators with some backbone to at least make a start in the right direction.
We have a huge freshman class in the house right now, and they are doing what the voters sent them to do. I've heard one plan that cuts two and a half trillion over ten years(?), and Rand Paul has proposed over 500 billion in cuts for immediately, if I remember right. The old guard is freaking out. I'm disappointed to hear that Paul Ryan has a 35 billion dollar reduction on the table. I heard we're paying about 4 billion dollars a day(can that be true?)in interest right now, so that proposal is beyond weak.
