Hard question. What is the problem? You say you only ride her once a month. What are you looking to do with her?

Well if you're only riding her once a month, I'd suggest to start riding her more as a start. That way she has more miles on her, and then start taking her out on trails and stuff and getting her despooked (if shes not already) That way, you can sell her as a reliable trail horse.

Priss- How do you know you don't click with her if you only ride her once a month? Or is it you just don't like her?

Oh horse.com wasn't it you that said you own everything yourself? So why do you need a ride when they are right outside your door?
I don't think you can "click" with an animal if you only see them once a month. JMHO.

if i was looking for a trail horse I would want a horse that was "de-spooked" and liked what they did. I know you can't trail her to do that but i put it in anyway.;) I would also want her to have lots of miles on her and be accustomed to things that you come upon in a trail.(i.e. water, logs, twigs/branches, rocky footing, etc...) good luck selling her!

She is good on trails mostly because when i do ride thats all you can really do here. Thanks for yout guys input
If you live two miles away couldn't you run or bike? That's what I'd do! :D
How long did you have her before you moved? I agree, I don't think you can really click with a horse when you only get to ride once a month.

i owned her for 5 years before we moved. Because carrying a saddle for 2 miles would be very hard. :)
Oh, is there no tack room or something? lol. If you had a fourwheeler you could strap it to the back. :D
Wow, you've owned her for 5 years and still no click? I guess I can understand your reasoning, especially if you don't get along with her nor get to see her much.

Only two miles? That would be the perfect workout for me, I'd put on my shorts and running shoes (take my riding clothes with me, in a backpack maybe) and run or walk there, ride/visit the horses, and then run home.:D As for carrying the saddle, how about getting a wagon? They make heavy-duty plastic ones for little kids that would work, the kind you can actually sit the kids in and pull them around. Why not put the saddle in it instead, and start walking/running. Or even biking if you could figure out how to hook the wagon to it. You could be there in half an hour if you walked, and less then 20 minutes if you ran (depending on how fast you are, lol).
Just an idea, lol.:D

Well you'd get in shape. ;) You could always run down some days and just spend time with her grooming her and stuff. Just wondering - who takes care of her if you only get to see her once a month?

From what Im reading, there is no emotional tie in to the horse, and there is no want in any of the ideas. Id sell her, quickly, so she can have someone that wants to spend time with her, and that clicks with her.
Good luck with the sale.
