I would LOVE to have this saddle, it's exactly what I want. For trail riding, for training Beauty. Maybe for barrel racing someday. It's perfect.

Unfortunately I just don't have the money right now, I can't saddle shop for at least a couple months. But it's so perfect. Square skirt, rough out. Billy Cook brand. Perfect amount of tooling. It's calling my name!:p
My dream saddle.:( Man I wish I could ask my brother or parents for a loan but I can't.
*sigh* Oh well. Anyone else looking for a barrel saddle? It's really cool!

ETA: well, I feel a little better now. The seller just posted a new sale thread for it stating that it's a 14.5" instead of a 15.5". I could fit in a 14.5" but I really want a 15". So I guess I feel a little better now.

They get Billy Cooks a lot on the horsesaddleshop.com website. Check their used! They have a layaway program there! And the nice thing is if it doesn't fit your horse you can return it.

I'm looking there now. I'd really really love to get Jet a Circle Y western saddle (I can't believe I'm really going to buy a saddle with a horn when I don't like them for Mitch, but ... she would be best in a nice square skirt western saddle) because I love the Ralide trees. I'm looking at the used ones on sale, and crunching numbers for the layaway. My birthday is coming! Maybe I can coax my parents into putting up the 30% down payment for my present. :innocent:

Hope you find your perfect dream saddle, Dakota.

:p Read my mind. :D

Good choice in saddles, though, DS. I LOVED my Billy Cook Barrel saddle. They hold their value super well too, if taken care of. I bought mine for $750. Used it for 1 1/2 yrs, then sold it for exactly what I paid for it. :D I was so in love with that saddle too. *cries dramatically* *then faints on the floor*
