What does your tackroom look like?

I just finished moving all of my stuff into my new tack room today except for the grain totes, those will come later when the horses move in. I love, love, LOVE my new tackroom, and I'm curious to see what everyone else's looks like. Would love to see pics!:) Thought it would be fun.:)

It's nice to be organized for a change!:p My old tack room was a mess, but I'm going to keep this one nice and neat!:)

Buck, I'm envious of all your stuff!

My tackroom is all over the place these days. I have some stuff in my horse trailer, some in my feed room, some in my bedroom, some in the living room and some in my former tack room. I can't really use my real tack room which was a nice 12x12 room anymore because it the roof started leaking and my stuff got wet and then the floors and walls got all moldy. I keep a few halters, old reins and extra girths and things that I almost never use in there, but mostly my parents just keep the gardening supplies in there.

No pics of the current tack room... but I'm not really allowed to have my stuff in there. I should take a pic of the tack room in my horse trailer, it's over flowing! It's hard to be a tack hoarder with only a 4' short wall to hold it all!
But here's my old tack room... mom was proud I had built all that stuff so she made me be in the pic.

Wow, buckpoco & AUEquine, you guys have a lot of stuff!:) Mine is only as organized as it is because I just moved in yesterday, and I really don't have that much stuff so it's not hard to be tidy. That's pretty much all of it except for the horses' every day halters & lead ropes that won't move down to the barn until the horses do. Then there's my feed totes, and then just their winter blankets that will go up on top. Other than a random saddle blanket of Beauty's, my english saddle pads, and a felt western liner pad that are in this big trunk in my old tack room, that's all my stuff. I think I've sold just about everything I didn't have to have.:innocent: lol, but that's ok. Gives me an excuse to stock up on more tack later!:D

Hey hey hey. I had to go take pictures of my tack room, you know. ;)

I moved to self-care in January. At my barn, there's the full care area with the big tack room, and then a set of smaller tack rooms, and the wash racks, and the paddocks, and crossties and stuff by the round pens and the big arena. I used to store my stuff in one of the smaller tack rooms. But self care is down a little road and kept separate from the full care (we still have use of all the facilities though) and because we buy our own hay, we have little sheds for hay storage.

The folks who were in my spot before me built a super (and I do mean SUPER) shed. It's good solid wood. No mice, no bugs, no problems. There's a big area for me to store my hay, and then a second smaller area for my tack. And it's alllll mine. With lock combos only I know, mwahahahaha. No worries about anything "walking off" anymore.

Still a work in progress. You can see that Mitch's color is turquoise, and Jet's is pink (cause boy and girl, you know, and I want to make sure none of Mitch's things get used for Jet)

The right side! I have a free standing two-saddle saddle rack there and Mitch's treeless western sport saddle is on the top rack. There's also a nifty big shelf on that side too.

And the left side. The woman and man who used the shed before me put in saddle racks on this side. I have Mitch's treeless dressage saddle, and the Bates Isabella I'm borrowing from a friend for Jet.

I have a lot of plans for this summer. I want to put a wall on that back side where the bridles are hanging so that I can put up bridle hooks instead of nails, and a shelf system for their grooming totes. I'll probably organize those white storage bins some more, and put them up on the big shelf on the right side. I also want to get a solar light panel, and a light to put in there. And foam industrial workshop mats for the floor, so it's easier to keep clean.

Very cool, Flair!:) My horses each have their own colors too so most of their stuff is separate. Dakota is red and black and Beauty is pink and black. I like your pink grooming tote!:) Mine is green which doesn't match either of my horses, but I've had it for years and got it before I got Dakota and Beauty.

I dont have a real tack room! lol Yours looks fancy! Our barn is an old cattle barn and still needs a lot of fixing up to make it horse friendly. We have an old grain room that I think we might turn into a tack room (I hope). It would be sealed from mice but it just needs a full sized door to be useable. Right now our tack is in a smaller stall that could be used for a pony if we wanted but we only have the two horses right now.

since someone used my stuff i no longer keep anyting out in the tack room at my barn... so i now have it all in my horse trailer .. and it looks like a tornado hit it .. with everythign just thrown in it .. right now i have to orginize it all over again.... i really need to do that..

It's not nearly this organized anymore, more stuff has been thrown in. And I want to close it all in and have it climate controlled (not too hot in the summer and not freezing in the winter) so the tack doesn't get all gross.

i just ordered a charger for my camera so as soon as that gets here i will take pictures of om two tack rooms, the one in the house and the one outside, lol. i keep my saddles, saddle pads, and bridles in the house to keep them nice. everything else goes into my little tack shed.

This is my current tack room. More like tack storage area. Yep, that's my kitchen table next to the saddle, etc. There are two western saddles. One for roping, one-my favorite for young horses. A little hunt seat that I like, and various pads, bits, headstalls and brushes. I can pretty much do anything I need to with the gear I brought here and it all fits in the back end of my run around car, a PT Cruiser, even with the back seat up.

Since I'm spending a lot more time in this area than originally planned, I'm starting to look for a better place to live.

I cannot post a picture of mine. It looks way too messy. I often work with the horses until dark, so when I'm done I only put the saddles and the headstalls up. Everything else goes on the floor. But I have an organized mess. I can find anything I need even in pitch dark. Anyone else would trip over things in an attempt to walk inside though. Sorry I'm too embarrassed to take a picture of that mess. :D

Yes I have a tack/grain room and then the bridles and brushes where we use them! I also have a bridle area in the house for the winter so that the bits are warmer!:doh:!

My bedroom is my tack room right now. I have my important stuff in there so it doesn't get gross. I also have some tack down in the garage and some at the barn.

this is it for now~ my mobile tack room is the back of my jeep!! we just moved to a new barn, and are waiting on a tack locker to open up~some of the boarders are taking up 2 lockers right now. we should be moved by the end of the week, i hope!!!

My tack room is a little bit dirtier than it was when I first posted pics of it:innocent:, but I'm still trying real hard to keep it nice & neat and organized.:) I love having my tack/feed room right there in the barn, it's so convenient!
