The green energy agenda. Do you get the joke? I think it may be named for greenbacks.

Rahm Emanuel lands the mayor's position in Chicago on Tuesday, and Boeing, of Illinois, gets this big contract on Thursday.

Politicians are not honest people. They are all corrupt to some degree because the system is corrupt. It has come down to the Republicans VS the Democrats with the good of the country lost in the struggle. The two party system is at fault with the needs of the common man along with what is best for most lost in the shuffle. I figure by the time everyone stops pointing the finger and blaming the other guy, the country will be in dire trouble and quite frankly, I don't think it is possible to fix. We, the people, are no longer in control of anything and are left to deal with the decisions others make for us and these people who are so sadly out of touch with the people they represent. A sad note indeed, but fixing what is really wrong would meet with such resistance from the plolitical parties that it would be fruitless. They put THE PARTY before THE PEOPLE.

I haven't read the story yet, and maybe you've gone soft on Obama, Tiz... but if not, I think your metaphor is messed up. I think "raising the bar" would be a higher standard...

I agree with both of you. Right now its pathetic with all these corrupt crooks lining their own pockets.
there is trillions of dollars that they STILL DON'T know where Its at or where it's being spent!
Don't get me started on the Obama "care" bill, especially after what I've been through with my father.
We the PEOPLE need to band together and open some eyes so what GM post doesn't come true.

I forget who said it: "We're in that awkward stage in our history, where it's too late to fix it, but it's too early to just line them up and shoot the bastards."

That metaphor doesn't really work :p

I wondered about that.:) I'm using it to mean that the bar is so high that virtually any scumball can walk under it, without even bending over anymore, and go on to join Obama, et al, in Corruptionland.

I think "lowers the bar" would be the correct meaning for what you're tryin' to say :)
I think the assumption is you have to go over it. Think high jump... not limbo.
Yes, I was limboing, not Fosbery Flopping.:p
Actually, raising the bar works because this administration has set a standard for corruption that will be hard to duplicate.
