Well i went to go get pins out of my hand today... no big deal right? thats what i thought but i was WRONG. i told them to just rip them out rather than to do the local of litocane because it was so painful the last time and hurt worse than breaking it. They got the first two out after lightly cutting the surface of the skin.(i couldnt feel anything as i had lost feeling in that side of my hand anyway). after they pulled the first two out, the feeling suddenly just came back out of no where. They were having trouble locating the third one, had to do alot of digging/cutting/ pulling and couldnt find it.They ended up giving me a local so they could try and find that third pin. the local DIDNT even work and they kept giving me just a little more but i could still feel everything and they was still unsuccessful after about 1:15min of trying to find it manually, so he wrote me a prescription and sent me on my way for an x ray to locate it. I lossed ALOT of blood. it was all over the table, cloths, his hands, some on the ground. Well as he was writing my prescription my eyes went funky. i thought it was just from going from a really bright room to a less bright one. The receptionist was talking to me after the prescription( cant remember what she said). My eyes went fuzzy like a tv screen, i remember spreading my legs apart to "stablize" my balance better, and holding on the counter while she was still talking.... Then my knees buckled, i just fell and went totally limp. i hit the wall then slid down it to the ground. couldnt see anything, couldnt move, couldnt talk, but i COULD hear and feel everything. The receptionist started frantically yelling for the doctor, and next thing i know i had people surrounding me, i could hear voices, and feel all the vibrations on the ground from their running footsteps. I heard" is she alive?"and I felt ice cold fingers on my neck. The fingers kept moving" I cant feel a pulse i cant feel a pulse get a stephascope there is no pulse"then I had atleast 5 people ahold of me. One had ahold of my head. 2 had ahold of my legs, and two had ahold of my shirts, and they lifted me to lay me flat. " talk to me ashley talke to me say something", as a smooth hand rubbed my face and frantically tapped. i tried but could say nothing. They ended up doing CPR, and well... here i am now. My heart DID completely stop... its weird because i could still hear and feel everything. I can officially say that i have died and came back to life( which that is not necc. a good thing either). Anyway i went to the hospital after that... am better from that but still lightheaded/shaky/dizzy, and i got the x ray.

NOW come to find out i have to get not one but TWO more surgeries. The one i wasnt going to get before( to free up tendons from scar tissue) but im getting it now because not only that but my bones are not properly aligned. Part of the cartililage end ( shouldve been facing up in the joint is turned a 90 degree angle inward) and just showed up in these x rays. the bone fused on one side but not in the inside due to the cartliage. so i still have the last pin in my hand for now, am getting a MRI this week and then the surgeries. They have to rebreak my hand , rotate the bone, do bone graphs, and i get to wear pins AGAIN. I am uber bummed.

OMG! Girl, that is the scariest thing I've ever heard. Why did that happen? did they say. I'm so glad you're able to tell us about it, but man oh man, what an experience!

So sorry you're going to have to go through that with your hand. I know you must be dredding it.

See...anytime they have to do anything to me, it's lights out. I don't want to see, hear or feel what they are doing. Just turn me off until you're done !

Good luck, hope it all works out !

Their theory was a combo my of some internal problems i have had( are healing), the loss of blood, and the doses of the local, all put together, along with the antibiotics and blood thinners i have been on

DANG! That's scary!! I'm glad they were on top of the situation and took care of you or you could have very well died. I sure hate that you've had to go through all that you've been through, and now this too! Hang in there. It's bound to get better soon.

Wow I just felt like I was watching an episode of House or ER. How scary!! Is the MRI for your hand or to find out why your heart stopped? Those are NOT cheap. Girl, you just cannot catch a break. Praying for you still...that is pretty crazy that you could still hear and feel everything and remember it so vividly!

That is beyond scary, I was thinking of passing out reading about the pins then I got to the other part and I think my heart stopped. I am a hypocondriac! I really hope you will be better soon, this is a lousy set back but at least you are still alive. Take care of yourself, everyone is thinking good thoughts for you.

OH my how scary I am sure glad that it happened while you were still in the Doctors office and not outside or driving home. Not that I am glad it happened at all. I am so sorry for this set back. I will be praying for you. HUGS

Well i went out to the barn later than normal today. My friend tara drove me. I went to muck out dreamers stall and my barn owners already did so i went to return the bucket to its spot. Dreamer swung open his door( normal) but he usually walks away from you or over to the hay. He followed me step for step, stop for stop to drop off the bucket, sniffing my arm with his nose right against it the whole time. Iwent back to his stall to get the fork i forgot, once again followed me step for step, stop for stop, even back into his stall( he normally walks off if he is loose not wanting to go back in his stall, he followed me right in right after my barn owner walked in the barn to talk to me about today. I was in the middle of a sentence with him and went down again. he caught me as i was falling, and stayed by me the whole time. I couldnt see or talk but i could hear and feel. he is pretty sure my heart stopped again as he couldnt feel a pulse( didnt have a stethascope though) but he kept tapping my face and i came to. I was out for about 2 minutes.I had had my friend drive me to the barn but she was in her car doing homework. After i came to i had don go grab her. Im home now though.

I swear dreamer knew something was going to happen. as i was comming to i could hear him nickering and don telling him she's ok buddy. My friend commented on how concerned dreamer was even after i came to( i was still sitting on the ground) he just kept staring at me. We left shortly after but i had to walk over so he could smell me and know i was ok. Of course i got covered in horse slobber kisses!
