Today's Tuesday!

Well since I'm the only one in the Horse General Interest at the moment (no kidding, I'm the only one viewing this section atm! Very lonely.:cry:), I thought I'd start the morning thread.

It's cold and snowy here, I'm just getting ready to head out for chores. I really want to ride Dakota and get some pics of them in the snow, but I'm still sick of course.:doh: So I probably won't be doing a whole lot of anything today. I have to work an 8 hour shift tomorrow so I need to rest up for that. No fun.:( I was so bored yesterday that I ended up at www.freerice.com, answering questions on grammer and multiplications tables.:p For every correct answer they donate 20 grains of rice to the world hunger program thingy. I finally stopped at 8,460 grains of rice.:innocent:

So, moving on.. Lets see, what's for breakfast? I'm considering oatmeal but there's also about 4-5 dozen eggs in the fridge.. our chickens have been working overtime.:innocent: I will warn you that I can't make good fried eggs to save my life, but I can scramble!:D

I bet Kota is whinnying for me and Beauty will be pacing the fenceline so I better get out there and feed those two. Hope everyone has a good day.:)

poor milk and juice for those that want it.

Horses, dogs, cats all fed, and brrrrr its cold out. When I had the dogs out front going potty this AM, I heard the horses tossing something around. City picks up his feed dish and drops it, but nope, it was the water trough, and it was on Mysts side, so I know she was banging it, breaking ice...lol. I centered it back and filled it half way, only cause I need to get the winter tub in there, and didnt want to have to dump 100 gallons of water.
It is 24, real feel 25 right now, horses did great, no shaking at all this morning. No winds, wohoo.
City has a pretty thick coat, hoping for one like Myst gets.

Not sure what today is going to bring. Chores, I know that..lol

I need to make it quick. Kids are wound. Hubby messed his wrist up and split open the cut that I just took the stitches out on Friday. GRRRRR.

Brr Donkey's Cold here! We were suppose to get some snow last night~ not sure if we did or not but I know it wasn't there when I woke up this AM. :( Was hopping for some snow & very bummed. O well I got all winter. It rained like a dikens last night before I went to bed & right now, rain isn't what we need! Like I said it's very cold out & I'm huddled up in the kitchen trying to warm up... BRRR

Going to go see Legend here in a few, soak her feet & just cuddle with her. Probably won't ride her any. I'm a little under the weather, woke up this am with a cold. :sick: Hopefully its just the morning sniffles!

Breakfast: Coffee (colombian) and toasted english muffins with peanut butter! YUM!

MOrning everyone. :) I am also a "New Posts" kinda gal and hardly ever go through things section by section.

Today it is cold. But no rain or anything, so when the kids nap I'll be going out with Norman's new blanket and trying it on the big guy. I will TRY to take pictures, but we'll see how it goes.

The kids still aren't getting along today... so I'm the referee. I feel like that's my new full time job. Aside from that I have laundry, laundry and MORE LAUNDRY!!

Tanya, Hope your hubby's wrist heals up better this time around! Yikes.

Morning! I'm nibbling on fresh from our chickens scrabbled eggs...I never want to go back to store bought eggs again! Free Range is the BEST! YUm...I'll make more if anyone wants any!

Got horsey chores to do after I bring the kids to school. Vic was lame yesterday, found heat inhis upper right front thigh area. Poor boy has the best, "I'm dying Mommy" face I have seen. Boy he can pull out the puppy face when he needs it lol.

If I have time after all the chores are done I'll ride Grace in the morning, if not she'll have to wait until the afternoon.

Morning all! Breakfast was about 3 hours ago now, since I've been at work since 7:30 am. That's about all that's on the agenda today, besides going to get some more coffee here shortly. Work till 5 pm, go home, make dinner and cuddle up with the hubby on the couch for the night. Luckily no more snow today, the 2 ft yesterday was enough, but it's very cold. Thermometer shows 23, but feels colder. Hope everybody says warm and has a good day, it's off to wait on customers!

Morning everyone! Thoght I'd better pop in here and try to get back to some semblance of normal pattern, lol!

Called to check on Jake this morning, but the nurse was busy, so I'm waiting for her to call me back.

Meanwhile, I thought I'd better pop in and start catching up on what's happening.

Managed to eat an English Muffin for breakfast- nothing sounds really good right now, lol!

Hey southerners! How're ya'll liking these temperatures? :cry: It's FREEZING - and literally! Right now it's 37* and it feels like 28 where I live... and here on campus it's 36*... feels like 27. :( Stupid wind. Okay, enough of the cold - I'm ready for spring! :D

I'm doing the freerice thing too, instead of something (anything) else I should be doing. :innocent: I'm only up to 580 right now though. Have a great day everyone! Try not to freeze to death! :cowboy:

Sorry I've been a bad forumer and haven't been posting on the morning threads, but I'm hoping to start again. It's been chilly here in Pennsylvania and I'm loving it! Here's the weather at the moment:

Sorry, I blanked out my town for safety reasons. =P Isn't that just lovely? And we have tons of snow! Wait, it gets better, it's going to be snowing more all week! It gets even better, that's as hot as it's getting today, it's going to be getting colder within the next hour and keep dropping in the temps, hehe! :D

The ponies are doing fantastic, but are of course muddy. :doh: Poor babies haven't been ridden lately because the footing is horrifying, bleh.

Gooooood mornin everyone!
I'm at some relitive's house right now... Near the fires. The air quality is HORIBLE!! We've been staying inside all the time and I've gained like 7 pounds since we got here!! Not much to do.. So we just sit around, talk, watch tv about fires almost all the time its like yeah we've seen the allready!! and ya that's pretty much it. So I miss meh horseys!! And the sad thing is I don't even know when we're going home my mom doesn't know yet and yeah..

I had a horseback riding lesson yesterday at a barn around here and it was horrible! Because the horse that I was going to ride became lame and they put me on a horse that was western. And he freaked out whenever I posted and had a look on his face like, is she falling off?? So but the brightside to the lesson was that I got to canter. Which I've never done in english before. :) So I was happy about that, but the downside to that was it only happend a few strides at a time. He wouldn't speed up to get to it! Then when he kinda fell apart he would have the perfect trot to post to so my instructer said well that's the a good trot to post to but we're cantering right now. So afterwards my legs were sooooo sore and yeah so tht's it.

Hi everyone. I had to come back to this after having to leave earlier. My old computer in my office froze up on my and I couldn't wait any longer for it so I went to work. Thanks for the mention this morning FoxFireEMT. I'm back home for lunch and using the new computer now. We had 16 degrees when I was writing earlier this am.
