Okay, so I'm doing a fancy dress class with Billy this christmas show (14th Dec.)
I need ideas!
I really want to get a rosette, and I think I'll need to be creative with the whole thing.
I currently have a full santa outfit for him (ex. blanket, leg wraps, jingle bell rein slieves and noseband and a santa hat for both him and me)
but what do you think I should dress him up in?

That sounds fun! And his costume sounds cute! Can you dress up as an elf?? That might be pretty neat!
How about some fake holly in is mane and tail?

I love Remali's ideas! You better get pictures of Billy and you all dressed up, I can't wait to see them!

I also like the Elf idea:cowboy:
Do you have a costume rental place close by or will have to make your costume?
If you go as an elf that should be fairly simple to make except for the Jingle Toe shoes.
For my part, I would drive to the costume store - lol lol lol lol

Well...Elf, yeah! I think that's super cute. Jingle hooves!! I ahve jingle socks. You could just cut the foot parts off those (I don't mean like, mine :p like, find some or something) and slide them up his legs. So long as he doesn't spook at the noise.
Or you could make him a reindeer? Maybe - see what Stalknshadows (sp?) has done with her horse and make a kinda jousting rug, but red and trimmed with white fuffly stuff, and stick some fake antlers to his halter? Instant reindeer!
Or you could dress him up as a Christmas tree and hang decorations from him, and put a star or fairy on his poll xD

i love the elf idea! if he will let you, you should make a "bag of toys" somehow. it doesn't have to be too big but it would look really cute.

I love the elf idea, but I had another idea:
Billy is a palomino, and his mane and tail are seriously ''angelic'' at times - they go white as ANYTHING and they are naturally all wavy and floaty looking :) So, I gots a thinking, white + gold (Billy's colour) and angels, it kind of goes - so I was thinking white leg wraps with gold tinsel around the tops n bottoms. White ex. blanket with a gold tinsel / fabric trim. A halo *ofcourse lol* and gold tinsel on his reins. Oiled hooves and gold stars in his mane and tail...
what do you think ??

Angel idea sounds really cool too! I think it would go better with his color :D

My mum thinks we can make his costume, so we're gonna get to work *probably this weekend* taking measurements and buying materials, although, we're gonna try and ''recycle'' as much as poss. eg. cut up sheets etc. instead of buying new white material.
:D

Fabulous idea JTM!!
Also loving the recycling idea. Way to cut back costs!
Btw do you need a hand shoving a siggy in? I just haven't seen one around your posts o.0

You could make wings out of cardboard and cover them with gold tinsel/garland, and somehow attatch them to the girth straps of your saddle pad so you're sitting between each wing. Meaning, pull the strap forward, cut a slot in the cardboard about where the strap would be and run the strap thru that hole and back to the velcro, instead of using it for the girth itself. :)
you could also use hairspray and gold glitter to glam up his hair, body, and hooves
