We made the decision to find Cheyenne another horse sine Ladybird is not going to do gymkhanas anymore.
Anyway, I posted on our local forum and somebody responded telling me about a horse they have for sale that would be a good match for Cheyenne. So this is good....
Well, later in the day I get an e-mail from another person who says...
"I have a nice gelding that is a good kids horse that I am looking to sell. His only problem is he doesn't do well in large groups of horses on the trails he needs more confidence and he is the ALPHA horse so does not get along well with others. I want to buy the horse that other lady has, but I need to sell mine first. I would sell him to you for the same price she is asking for her horse, that way I can buy her horse."
WTH???? I couldn't believe I was reading that!! I might have a good lead on a horse for my KIDS and this lady wants me to buy her crappy horse so SHE can go get the horse that might work for Chy. I just thought this was down right rude!!

HMMMMMM.. she wants to sell you her horse for your young child. The horse doesnt do good in large groups of other horses and is ALPHA( but a young girl is expected to lead this horse, not saying chey cant, just saying thats a red flag). Shows are FULL of other horses, and some classes you ride with other horses. If the horse needs more confidence, its not fully broke, especially to be a kids horse. She is definatley trying to take advantage of you, and possibly setting chey up for what oculd be a disaster! That upsets me too!

Wow... someone flunked out of business school!
I'll sell you my 99 Ford Fiesta that only works up to 2nd gear for the same price as this other person's 07 Ford Explorer with clear title and warrenty so that I can buy the Explorer and you can put your kid in the POS Fiesta! Yes this makes perfect sense!!!
Wow... did you respond to this?

I don't know if she's rude or if her elevator doesn't go all the way to the top :(
Good luck with the horse search, CG.

I'd find a way to have some fun with it. Lets say you are buying this horse for $2000, buy it and contact the owner of the other horse and say you are willing to do a trade plus $1900. :p

Is your possible transaction between Lady "A" private or public? Maybe Lady "B" didn't realize???? lol

I wonder how old this person is. Sounds like maybe something a very young person would do. ??? Just didn't know better, maybe. Either that or someone is just pulling your chain to try to get a reaction. Do you know any practical jokers? Surely they are not expecting you to take that offer seriously.
I was thinking the same thing. It reads like a child wrote it.

Oh this was public, on our local forum. I had posted that I was looking for a horse for Cheyenne and "Lady A", posted about a horse she had that might be a good prospect. I saw the pics and and she looked like a nice calm mare.
"Lady B", sent me a private e-mail....the one I posted here.
I did resond and politely told her, that I really didn't need another project horse and need something that I can feel comfortable leaving Cheyenne alone with. Plus there are alot of BIG trail rides with this local group and Cheyenne would like to be able to ride with us.
Today, I saw that "lady B', also posted an ad of her own on the forum, stating that she needed to sell her horse so she can buy another horse, but she didn't mention she was wanting to buy the horse I want to go see.
It's been such a stressful week, and this woman really has me in knots again. Just the fact that she knows I need to find something for my daughter and all the reasons WHY I am looking. Yet she still has the nerve to try and get what might be the perfect horse for Chy.....It just chaps my a$$!!
