 SO OMG....

I have been riding saddleseat here at William Woods University. It is FABULOUS. Gayle Lampe is by far the best riding teacher I could ever ask for, (except my hunter jumper teacher Linda McClaren) and all the horses are great and I learn a lot every day.

I showed like two weekends ago, in a pleasure class, and an equitation class. We didnt place in the pleasure class because I was not quite ready (never shown SS before) and there were a lot of people and I was having trouble convincing the horse we were TROTTING now, not cantering.... until about halfway through.

The horse I showed is named MJK Seize Command (Caesar), a little Bay Morgan. I got third place in equitation!! :)

I am showing this coming weekend (it is fall family weekend, and my 'rents are coming down) in Open 3-gaited pleasure on a NSH named Sandbox Captain. :)

here is a picture of Caesar and me right before (or after?) the show.

Very cool! Do you have any pics of you in the ring? Good luck this next show, and hope to see more pics. I know nothing at all about saddleseat (except that it's expensive from what I hear), but it looks neat.

No no pictures of in the ring yet, everyone I know was busy that day!!! Hopefully I will have some this weekend, but it is hard to get it to show up, we have black footing and the lights suck.

Thanks :)

Very cool :) I always liked saddle seat best at Arab shows... it's really the way to show off a movin' horse. :D

I've always wanted to learn saddleseat, but mever knew anyone close by that rode or taught it.

You're right, though, WB, I've been to a few Atab shows, and it really gives them the freedom to show their beautiful gaits off!

Thanks guys!!

I love how you literally have the horse do ALLLLLL the work when posting. Yeah, with hunters their action nudges you out of the saddle, but on saddle horses, woah, you do no work for posting whatsoever.... :)
