those of you that responded to my last threat about the paint mare... well their phone was disconnected and they never sent pictures to my e-mail...
i have been patiently scanning around for another horse for other to be able to ride with me... I have an amish friend that is able to break horses really well (he broke Dez for me this summer)... I found this guy wondering your thoughts on his lines and conformation :)

Oh dear, is it a pony or a cow? lol Those photos just look really odd, lol. He looks really short legged, short through the neck, and quite down hill. Looking at his pedigree I see it says he's 14.1h. So it's not just the pictures ;).
I think if you stripped 75-100 lbs off of him, he'd be a very handy little guy! I'd be careful about his diet though, he just screams "IR" to me (Insulin resistant).

He's beautiful! I don't know pedigrees, but I see those big names of Doc Olena, Doc Bar, and Poco Bueno that must be famous for some reason. He looks like a great horse, although possibly a bit overweight in that second photo. I like him, though. If he passed a vet check pretty well, I'd be tempted for sure if his disposition is really good.

If you were just getting him as an extra horse for someone to trail ride, I see no biggie confo wise. A horse is a horse, unless he's got major problems, or you were planning on showing him, if the price is right then I would think he'd be fine as a trail horsie.

Hes only 14.1, needs to go on a diet, needs to be broke, nope, I wouldnt do it. You cant just put anyone on a 14.1 horse, get something taller, so if ya want someone to ride with you, they can ride.

Didn't see that he wasn't broke already..Hmmm. Unless he's REALLY cheap then I'd pass.

I'm with everyone else.. I've liked other horses that you've looked at before a lot better. And 14.1 is a little on the short side for other people to ride with you.

I just wanted to say that just in case you run across another 14.1h horse, speaking from experience, they're not that bad to have around for everyone. 14.3 is better but, from working at a camp where we had ALL sizes of people, ( not to offend anyone ) it was easier getting a larger person onto a shorter stockier horse that could hold the weight than onto a tall horse that had it's back pulled out of whack trying to get said larger person up. ( not saying you're going to have large people riding either, this is all in theory....) 14.2-14.3h horses are a nice average size

If that horse was of proper weight, stocky would NOT be his friend.

He's quite overweight and his pasterns look a little too angled. I'd pass unless as everyone else said you just wanted an extra horse for small kids or something.
