Pony has NO, muscle right now, I've been bad, leaving him in the pasture and only letting him sleep in the sun and eat treats.

Me and Huey pretend to do dressage. I've gotta find a trainer before we can start showing, I don't know enough about dressage to show on my own. (well, not enough to show and do well anyhow)

Thanks everybody, he is my purdyest.
I have some other pictures of him in my album. I just took these because he was standing like this for about 10 mins before I took the picture, and I didn't actually have any pictures of him standing "square." I think he was asking me to take some conformation shots.

6, I think? I can't remember, I have 22 horses to keep track of, (not counting the 150+ horses belonging to my shoeing clients) but I think he's 6.

Geesh, he's too short. Definetly a pony size. You need to get a horse size horse..

Because I have a perch cross, I have always been interested in Huey stories/pics.
But, a question. He was always younger than my horse and my horse turned 6 in July. Are you sure?
He really is a nice looking horse (what I was looking for in a draft cross, and look what I ended up with!). Has a lovely hip in comparison to a lot of percherons, sure you don't want to teach him to jump? You can send him my way and I swear I'll send him back after a show season, or two.

Ok, this is really sad. You all know how old my horses are better than I do. I just pulled his papers, and yes, he is only 5 years old. He'll be 6 in April though, if that makes any difference.
In the future he may do a little jumping, but I'm not as interested in jumping and I'd like to ride him well into his senior years. So I might, but if I do, it will not be for a while yet.
I was kind of hoping that HoustonFarrier would chime in here and give his thoughts on him.

He sure is a pretty boy!! It won't take you no time to pack some muscle on him. Drafts think about work and there butts get bigger!! hahah Muffin has a big ol rear end and I don't even work him...I'm afraid how much muscle he will pack on once he is in training

He's a good looking Percheron. Nice heart girth, a nice hockset. His hind end looks like it could use more muscle.....driving him will get that to build nicely...I like to see a big engine on a draft.;)
Stuff his butt in a trailer and bring him down.....we'll hook him up and drive !:)

He is, Irid was a little confusing, but I think I figured out what she meant. I think she was looking for a cross built like Huey, but Huey is all Perch.

Thanks Steve. We are getting ready to campaign the walkers this spring so we will probably be on the National Walking Horse Association circuit in Texas. My big stipulation in showing the horses is having a trailer large enough for the pony. Then I might be able to take him somewhere "safely". In an emergency I'll stick him in something to get a vet, but Magnolia is a lot further away than the clinic.
