Well I have felt crappy for the past 4 days. Even spent all day Sunday in Bed. :( Finally felling alittle better and figured I had better work with Dallas before our little Obsticle (sp) event this Thursday.
I didn't know if I was going to ride today since I am still feeling kinda crappy, so we worked on ground work, I got him to walk between 2 barrels only 3 ft apart. Then he walked over a 1/2 tarp then over the full unfolded tarp. He did so well on the ground I decided to saddle him up. We worked around the arena, then went to the tarp, which was now moving because of the wind........he walked right over it! :cowboy: I decided to take him out to the desert to find more "scary" things. We came up on a huge dug out hole. He wouldn't go in it one way, but did go in the opposite direction... OK...whatever at least he did it. We went over hills and through some ditches. He did real well. Just wish we had a bridge to go over as I KNOW they will have that on Thursday. This will be the first time him or I have ever done anything like this, so it should be interesting.
I also rode Ladybird today, just to have a nice relaxing ride. Geez....I don't know HOW my daughter stays on her! She has such a choppy gait! But it was nice to just sit back and relax on the trail for awhile. I just pointed her in the direction I wanted and just sat back and enjoyed the ride!......Needless to say, I didn't get any work done today.
