Rode Prize this weekend for the first time in 3yrs

Finally got to ride Prize after 3 years. He did great. Please be easy on me it was the first time I rode English on a non-gaited horse. I need work. :) I am checking out a couple places for English riding lessons. One place I liked but they have no indoor ring only outside and with winter coming that won't work. So I will be checking out 2 other leads I have. I didn't realize till I looked at the pictures I had my stirrups to short. I will fix that for the next ride once it stops raining.

Bronson- I think that she sold him 3 yrs ago and the people couldn't keep him anymore so they let her know and she took him back or something like that.... glider?

Glide won him!! Prize was young and not right for them at the time. She sold him. Not sure why, but the owners were selling, and Glide got him back. That is sooooo cool!

Ya I sold him 3 year ago as a 3 year old. I actually sold to one lady that lied to me. She had said she wanted him for her show horse but she really was a horse dealer. She resold him in 3 months to the lady I got him from. The lady I got him back from is having problems with her knee's and needs to have knee surgery. So she had to part with him. She had people come look at him but didn't feel right about any of them. She said he always looked happy in the pictures of when I had him. So she gave him back to me. All I had to do was pay for the shipping. So I kinda won him twice. I guess for some reason he is suppose to be with me.;)

It sure did feel good to ride him again. Its like he never left.

LOL !! Vicklynn. I remember entering quite a bit. ;) Then one day I got scared while entering like what am I going to do with an un broke 2 year old. LOL !! So I slowed down LOL ! but didn't totally stop. I remember plain as day when Ryan called and said I WON !! I could not talk other then I kept saying OMG !! Soon as I got off the phone from him I started calling everyone and yep you guessed it when they answered I could only say OMG !! and after everyone was scared by my OMG !! I had to tell the rest an apologize for scaring them. :) I had never won anything before. How many did you enter ?

I bet it did feel good riding him, but trained now and a better horse. How very cool is that.
There are times Id like City, and me, to find a trainer, but only for a short period. Id like him to canter better than he does, and then me take a few classes on him. One on one though, no group thing.

As far as my entries, wow, there were few. I was looking for gift certificates. Storm was to be broke the following Spring, thought some new stuff would be neat. Never imagined the grand prize..lol, and broke to ride at that. I think I entered maybe 20 times each, Bob and I.
I was the same way about the win, but I was saying NO WAY, there is NO WAY...then the OMG came out..lol. We found out via voice mail though, and had to play it 5 or 6 times to get to the OMG stage...lol

Yes. This was when HorseCity was giving horses away, first, halter broke, then broke, then broke by big trainers. The last horse win was in 06.
