Ok, I have 2 male dogs, neither is fixed and they both pee on my back concrete patio. So HOW can I get the smell out? I do occassionally clean the patio off with bleach, but then I get sick from the fumes.

And no, hubby will not have anythign to do with getting his dog fixed! We don't even want to go there!

I use vinegar on my carpet, Im sure it would work on your porch too. Id rather smell the bleach though, but cant put that on my rug.
I have used straight vinegar on an area in the pasture, horses wont pee there anymore. May work with the dogs too.
Wouldnt that be nice.

Vinegar should work (but vinegar makes me sicker than bleach. When Nana makes pickles I have to stay out of the house!). You could look up a lemon juice solution... but that would take a LOT of lemon juice. :D

Wow. I just googled "lemon juice dog pee" and the first thing that popped up was this:

Cleaning Dog Pee off a Cement Floor (http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf883984.tip.html)

I love thrifty fun. :D But they say lemon juice won't work :(.

I have a new puppy. Nature's miracle is my best friend. Well, besides the new puppy.

Next time you feel like trying your husband on getting the dogs neutered, tell him that un-altered male dogs are at risk for developing testicular and prostate cancer. They also can develope an enlarged prostate which can prevent urination. So there are actually good medical reasons to have a dog neutered because once these problems occur they lead to high medical bills and often the dog is in such shape that there aren't tons of options available. With the enlarged prostate, part of the treatment is neutering so better to do it when the dog is well rather than when he's sick. ;) Just some ammo in case you get into that discussion with him again. I've gone through it with many male dog owners and it tends to be the "you can prevent serious, life-threatening conditions by neutering" that gets them to do it.
