I didn't have internet for several days and now I am trying to catchup. On forums with multiple pages, I got down to page 3 but every time I click back to the title of the forum at the top it takes me back to page 1 not back to where the thread was posted. Is there a better way to get back that will keep me on the page of the forum that I was on? I could use the back key in the browser but then it doesn't lighten the title to indicate that I read it.

A second question, is there a way to mark a thread as read?

Good luck catching up! We started out so busy here I got behind quick and don't think I'll ever read it all.

There should be page numbers, both for the forum view, and on each thread, in the upper right hand corner of the screen, on threads or forums with multiple pages. Is that what you mean? I've posted a little screen cap below.

Also, there is under 'forum tools' and 'thread tools' on the menu bars, a command to mark either a thread, or a forum as read, depending on which you are looking at.

OR from the main forum page, you can double click the little dot http://www.baywindfarm.com/forum/images/styles/beige/statusicon/forum_new.gif and mark the whole forum red... err 'red'. http://www.baywindfarm.com/forum/images/styles/beige/statusicon/forum_old.gif

OR, at the bottom of the main forum page, there is a link where you can mark the whole forum as read.

I wasn't talking about the page numbers for the forum view, that is how I kept getting back. I am not sure how but at Horse.com forum when I was on the second page of the forum, read a thread and then hit the forum title at the top of the page from a thread, it took me back to the 2nd page instead of the first. Now I click the title and it takes me to the first page and then I have to go back to the 2nd page from there.

Oh - I see what you're saying... I don't know! I haven't done that exact thing. We're both getting familiar with all this at the same time I'm afraid. I'll poke around and see.

One other thing, I seem to be able to mark a forum as read under the forum tools but there isn't the same thing under thread tools. It has show printable, email, or subsribe to this thread.

Oh - I see. I guess I was wrong on that. I thought there was. Well, as long as it's not updated as you're reading it, it should be marked as read ANYWAY. If someone has added a comment you haven't seen while you were reading, then it will be marked as unread. make sense?

To go back to the first page of a thread, you can click the little red folder next to the thread title in the upper left.

To go back to any of the forum levels, click one of the links in the row above that.

One other thing, I seem to be able to mark a forum as read under the forum tools but there isn't the same thing under thread tools. It has show printable, email, or subsribe to this thread.Once you open a thread to read it, it is automatically marked as read.
