I just hopped over to the "other" forum. I wanted to say hi to Shiver, Ms Eddi,and Dark Chylde.

I clicked on a thread and WOW. Nasty attitudes galore, and open hostility. One person directed a really foul-mouthed poster to this forum, saying she would belong here.

I'm not trying to stir up drama here. I just don't understand why someone would be so nasty about the new forum or so bitter toward people she used to converse with.

But I've never understood the "You're either with us or against us" attitude :(

I'm not on all the time but what I have been able to keep up with this forum is quite mellow.... I've checked over there too but I haven't seen the really nasty threads (I don't stay long).

I've never got that either. I guess maybe because many of us "left" the other forum for this one BUT - that's what happens when technical issues don't get solved for MONTHS on end! :p lol sorry, couldn't resist. I want to be childish too :cool:

I just have to shake my head. Bunch of nasty unhappy people over there. Grace didn't deserve what was said to her by any of them nor did Chloe. They keep saying how they like a slower forum, so if it gets fixed, will they go away? :rolleyes: I do miss DC though.

I don't post over there any more. And I very seldom look over anymore. There was a post titled "Its a Ghost Town here" and looking at the threads, it really is.

I love all the activity here. usually someone is on here at any time of day or night. Plus most of the members here are ACTIVE. Many of the numbers over there are just that.....numbers. There are only about 10 people who are really active over there and that's it.

I really wish they would just shut the forum down over there. Nobody new can sign up anyway.

You used the "end quote" code at the biggining of your second quote instead of the open quote code.

Open the quote with the code "QUOTE" and end it with "/QUOTE". Then start a new one if you like by opening it again with "QUOTE" and ending with "/QUOTE". In brackets of course.

Rember the " / " means "end command", so you always start a command and end it with a / infront of the command. It tells the computer where to start and stop quoting, bolding, italic, color text or what ever command you are using.

You can also Highlight the sintance you want to quote in your reply box after you copy it and click the button at the top that looks like a cartoon talk bubble. I will put the quote code around what you have highlighted.

Oh my, I just read a post that had a link to a post, and the OP was so wrong about my message about the owner, she was not the owner, and I was backing her(the rider), then giving my opinion on what I think my responsibilities were as the owner. Did I really word that so wrong, to make her think I was talking bad about her????

I popped over there a few times over the Thanksgiving weekend, and was really shocked at some of the nastiness that was going on.....it's sad.

I haven't been on either forum for about a month as I had surgery on my ankle and couldn't make it down the stairs to the office in the basement where the computer. I visited the other forum the other day and it is a ghost town. I must prefer this one and plan to spend some time now that I can manage the stairs--cast has been removed. People over there are openly hostile and seem to thrive on drama.

While sometimes I find the drama humorous, it's best left alone and unfortunately some of them are going down with the ship and finding the positive in the forum dying. I can see the positive, but I can't see the hostility the few remaining have for us posting over there who have moved over here. If that makes sense?

I am in the process of trading my saddle over there and decided I would look around today and DANG!!! They are just plain misserable (spell?) over there! It's horrible! On the other hand...I LOVE IT HERE!!! This forum is soo nice and always new posts and everyone knows how to give their opinion in a nice way!

WB - you do have a great sense of humour! Yes - I had logged on to the "other" forum too earlier this week, or late last weeek - can't remember. But I was surprised to see they were still a bit technologically challenged in that the problems with the site have not yet been corrected, and also - saw a few of the posts you're referring too - just nasty, teeneage girl stuff, from what I can see. Anyway - I'm glad I've found your site WB - looking forward to some good "horse-talk" again!
