Good morning, everyone! Protein bars again, but refreshments to come at a little surprise party for someone this morning, hmmmmm....good!

Busy day today, finally going to be warmer and sunny, but doubt I'll see Arrow at all, boo hoo. Had a great arena session with him last night.

Happy Hump Day!!! All is great here, for at least the next 5 minutes. I'm about to have to go have a not so nice chat with the barn crew. They apparently can't read the signs on the front of stalls that say "NO FOOD", they gave the research minis giant piles of hay! Grrrr... just what I want to deal with after 10 hours in the butt freezing cold! But I get to go home in a hour, so that's always great!

All is well on the home front! I finally took Cornbred to get his ear checked again, this time I brought him to the vet school. And after 2 weeks of treatment, he's fixed! I've seen 2 vets before this and they told me it was just a chronic hound ear thing, but the vet school diagnosed it as yeast and cocci. He's like a whole new dog, he loves to play and get attention!
Fiddler is great! We're getting ready to go to another dressage show this weekend over in GA! I can't wait to see how he does! I may even put him in the Notasulga Christmas Parade. I think my buddy is putting his two young belgians in it on their new hitch, so I may ride along beside the wagon and horses on the Fid!
Tim is doing well too, but a little nervous. He's gotta have a talk with my dad soon, so fyi be looking out for an anouncement in the next few weeks!

Guess that's all for my little midweek update! Today is house cleaning day!

Now for the ME up date: Still feeling $itty! :sick:times a million:sick: I'm stuck here at work still on hour.. ummm 25 right now. Will be here until about 11 then drive home for an hour & off to class. Thank God we have a shower here at work! ha ha. Here's to a quick day, I need my bed & some serious sleep. I am hoping to get out to see Legend this afternoon just for some quick loving & tomorrow for some riding!! I miss my Legend!

Morning everyone! It's payday today. Going to be interesting, and quite different thinking about what I need to get just for myself. The first month or two are going to be quite an adjustment period.

At least I found a ride in today. My van is sitting in a shop right now getting an estimate. If I don't hear anything back by the time I get home today, I'll be calling to find out what's going on.

Not sure what I'm going to have for breakfast yet- maybe English muffins.

I had an absolutly HORRIBLE night last night.....you know, one of those times when no matter what you do, it's wrong, and you screw up. Started out, I was going to shoe a young Belgian mare. Had 2 sets of shoes, size 7 and 7 1/2. She ended up needing the 7's......so I start forging the shoe, adding borium......then find out it's the 7 1/2....dammit. So, I start all over again with the 7's. Add borium, shape to fit her.....heels are too long, have to cut some off with the torch. So, now I have to re-do the borium. Cut the borium to fit, drop all three pieces that I cut, one piece rolls under the farrier trailer, have to crawl under it.....smack my arm on the door....by now, I am PO'd big time......so I said the hell with it, I put her back in the stall and went in the house....I'll shoe her tonight!

Geez, I hope Wednesday is better!

Thursday, I'm getting filmed at the SPCA, trimming a donkey :huh:

Morning all!Home made cookies! Sugar with christmas sprinkles and chocolate chip, and coffee.... yumm coffee.

Susey got her tootsies trimmed last night, Bill ( farrier ) walked up to her and said " Do you realize I think she's grown a hand since I saw her last?" he then proceeded to say " I think her butts 4in higher than her withers !!! It's going to take her a while to grow out!"
LOL I think Susey has been butt high since she was 7 months old....... She'll definetly be tall!

Morning All,
It is NOT a good day. I just want to cry. Cane injured his right hind in the round pen on Friday (my t-day present I guess) and I had the vet out. It was looking pretty good until yesterday. I saw some minor swelling no biggie. Well this a.m. we have more swelling, no heat and not painful for me to touch (and he is a wimp so I would know). I have placed a call into the vet to see what she thinks. I have been through so much with him I just don't know what to do anymore. Then one of my kids gave me crap for walking into work a few minutes late. Granted I do believe in leading by example, but this little turd is late for everything and is a total prick. So that is how my day has started.

I get to go the the chiro. this afternoon and they may help relax me. Hubby and my main little man are heading shopping this afternoon for me for Christmas and boy did I give them a list. Note:Never ask a woman with PMS, lame horse, and having a mild crisis (in-laws, work, the usual) what she wants for Christmas and to put it in a list.

So I hope those of you who are sick feel better, those of you who have too much going on get a break and those of you who need a good horse fix get it soon.

Today is alright. It's freezing here though. Something like 16 today, not including the wind and it's breezy out. Went out this morning early and tossed more hay out.

Other than that, laundry is my task for the day. The kids and I are really liking that hubby gets home at 4 instead of 5 now. The lack of $ isn't great, but the time is!

My day isn't going to badly so far. Have some housework I have to do (yuk!:doh:) and I had to bring a ton of firewood this morning, and dropped one on my foot in the process.:rolleyes:
But the good news is it's not as cold today as it has been, and my neighbor is going to try to sneak out of work early enough for us to get a little bareback ride in. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, we haven't been riding together in weeks!

Morning Everyone, sounds like today is a hard one for some of us, hope it improves! I have a test and two classes today, and then studying some more. Thats about it for me.. last day of classes is tommorow, then finals next monday threw thursday then im headed home for break!
