members vs. active members

What's the difference between a member and an active member? I noticed that at the bottom of the main page.

I think [inactive members are] those that haven't posted in the last 30 days?It's either that or those who haven't logged in. I don't remember offhand.

We've got a few members that have signed up but never posted yet... They probably don't count as active.

Our ratio is still pretty high because we're a young forum... that disparity grows as the forum gets older because some are always drifting away...
