Is it really so hard to call someone back if you say that you will call them the next day? Especially if its a potential sale? Even if its just to say "sorry, I'm not longer interested?" Is that really so hard? Instead they keep you waiting. I don't know if these people are interested and are going to call later, but I suspect that I won't hear a thing from them ever since its been 2 days now.

And why is it when you find a dream home for your horse, something happens and it doesn't work out? The very first home that I was really hoping would take Bandit because they had the experience with the mustangs and the time, can't now. Legitimate reason by far, but very, very dissapointing.

And then all the other good homes are SO far away! WHY? Anyone taking a trip up to Mass from KY anytime soon? Or out to NV?

And finally - Why does my haflinger feel he has to bust down the boards to eat the weeds on the other side? I should have known better than letting him go in a place that did not have hot wire on it. But he didn't bust all the way through - just took down the top boards in 2 sections and left up the bottom board and just leaned WAY over it to eat a circle in the weeds there. :help:

I totally understand. When someone came to look at April they rode her, raved on and on about how they liked her and she was exactly what they were looking for. Well, they said they'd get back to me right away. One month later she wrote and said thanks for letting me look, she was really nice and we liked her a lot, but I am gonig to keep working with my mustang. Not exact words but similar.

I'm sorry the homes so far haven't worked out for you. Selling can be very frustrating but patience is the key if you want to find a great home. Your Haffie sounds like he's being a pain! Hehe, I hope that can get worked out soon.

LOL - Toby being a pain is nothing new. My bad for not getting hot tape in there before I let them in. I figured it would take them more than a day to get the boards down! I should know better... :innocent:

I haven't sold any horses, but we do sell goats, and I sell Cairn Terriers (once a year or so), and I know how frustrating it is when you spend so much time trying to give them all the information, set up a time, etc. and they never show, or they do what Kiger's person did. It's so irratating.
I had a lady who was going to come look at my puppies one time, say she'd be here at like 10 or something, so I was ready at about 9:30. I always get ready early, for other reasons I'll state below.
So I waited an hour, then two, then three, never heard a word from her. So that night I checked my email and she wrote and said, sorry I didn't make it out there, I'm not interested. It made me sooooo mad!!!!!!! I was ticked off.
I always ask new potential owners questions to try and make sure they find the best home possible, and I too hate it when the perfect home falls through (for various reasons that are things that can't be helped). It's like the perfect one and then something happens. Sorry to hear that! Course some homes I've found were perfect for them, and when someone comes they obviously would make a perfect home, but their actions toward me were kinda hateful. I have no doubt they are perfect for the puppy/goat, but to me they are quick to cut you off and be short.
Now as far as why I get ready early, I have had people come an hour early, come an hour late, come 30 minutes early, etc. There is never no way to judge! We have gated property with dogs loose, if someone wants to come early(by like an hour or more) fine, but your gonna sit your butt at the gate and wait while I shut up the dogs, gather my paperwork to take outside, and get the puppies, etc. If your gonna be early atleast give me a call and say, hey Sharon is it okay if I come early? Don't just show up. I don't mind a little early, or a little later, by 15 or 30 minutes on either side of the hour, but not this hour stuff.

Anyways, that's my rant. Sorry to hijack, but I get what you mean regarding people. We have a saying and it's along the lines of Most people are stupid, and why do they have to be such idiots?
Point blank= most of the human race annoys me. LOL I even annoy my ownself sometimes. LOL

Poor Jungle. Not one of these problems would ever have occurred if you hadn't left Michigan. As you will recall from growing up here, nothing ever goes wrong in Michigan and nobody is ever disappointed.

Ahh. Im sorry, that has got to be really frustrating.
Hope you find the right home.

But I think JackieB is onto something, Noone gets dissapointed in Michigan. This place is just overfilling with little girls/teenagers just waiting to buy a horsey just like yours and all of theese little girls with the perfect home for your horse live less than 30 minutes away.

I just think people are ruder now a days....don't get me on the subject of timekeeping I am very much an anal retentive who would rather be early than late. And thank you letters I remember every Christmas and birthday being sat down to write thank you letters until it became automatic. After the boys birthdays we had to practically hold a gun to their heads to even make thank you phone calls:mad:

Oh dear I think I am becomming an old fart!
