I wish I was able to see a big guy like that in person. Tallest horse I've ever seen is in my pasture and he's 16.2 or so.

Kinda of OT: but are any of your horses trained to ride Steve or just drive? I don't remember if I've ever seen a picture of any of them being ridden.

Yes, we have trained quite a few...and have sold them. In fact, one of the mares we trained (Shiela) was ridden in the parade with us. Now, we certainly don't get them ready for 2nd level dressage or anything, but they are safe, nice horses to ride. All have been smaller mares. Big geldings like Sam....just are not fun to ride. Too rough...too wide....too tall.....feet too big, you bounce like a ping-pong ball on them.

I wish my hubby would have to tack up a horse that size. Then he could see how I feel tacking up mine and maybe not say, "What's taking you so long?"
Those are beautiful animals. I love to see them.

Thanks for the extra pictures. Both of them are so HUGE! I showed hubby and he said, "I need a horse like that, but how would I get on?"

Wow Steve, that Sam is a phenomenal horse. You're right about him being stunning. The others in your album, too.

Is that you dressed up in the clown suit with the Clydesdale wearing sunglasses and all. It's a cute photo.

Thanks for sharing.

Very nice horses Steve. Thanks for sharing the pics. My first horse was a 1/2 Clydes and 1/2 TB. Dumbest mistake I ever made was selling him. If I ever found him again I would let him live out his life with me. He was the best!!!
